@FlySWISS Unfortunately, despite multiple respectful appeals, no meaningful flexibility or replacement option could be offered for the completely unused ticket. I still hope more humanity can be shown in exceptional personal situations. @MilesandMore

I was released the same day without charges or proceedings. This was an emotionally difficult situation, not a criminal one.

I tried to resolve this privately and politely before posting here. I contacted SWISS, explained the situation, and asked for a goodwill review. Unfortunately, the answer remained final.

The ticket was not cheap. Around CHF 2,500 for a long-haul flight I never took. Losing that completely, while also missing the chance to see my mother, was painful.

To be clear: I am not asking for special treatment or compensation beyond reason. I simply hoped SWISS would review the human side of the situation and offer some fair flexibility for an unused long-haul ticket.

What disappointed me most is that this trip was to see my mother in Brazil after almost 4 years apart.

I fully respected the safety decision at the time. I simply hoped for some flexibility afterward considering I never travelled and the ticket remained unused.
