A friend on Facebook:
"Being an adult means you realize that meat is part of a meal, not the entire meal. You need to mix in veggies, whole grains, fiber. In my 20s, I used to eat just meat for a meal, nothing else. No sides, no vegetables, nothing. Thank goodness I matured."
It's so cute when I see 30-somethings who have always been fit and healthy, who have never struggled with weight issues or health problems, make posts like this.
I used to be just like this in my 20s, 30s, and early 40s, encouraging this same type of diet.
And I was extremely overweight.
Every time I tried to eat this way, I always struggled.
Then, in my 40s, I began developing health issues, and I tried this way of eating once more. I lost some weight but still struggled.
Then I started carnivore. Eating only meat and eggs has made me the healthiest I've ever been in my life.
If that makes me immature, oh well.
I'd rather be an immature fit and healthy woman than a dead one.

@JCChristopher @ICannot_Enough This must be fake, I haven’t seen it on any news channel yet. Oh wait I don’t watch those channels.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier.
Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

@CaryKelly11 Ground lamb is a great substitute for beef, typically 2X per week.

How do you feel about lamb aka land salmon?
With the price of beef escalating the way it is, this lady makes a really good pitch for sheep/lamb.
Sheep can feed your family faster, easier and cheaper than any other livestock.
They don't need expensive grain.
They do just fine on grass and weeds.
Lamb can be eaten at 6 months. Cows take 1.5 years.
Twice the offspring as cows.
Easier to manage.

@wilsonhlthcoach My go to meal. Satisfying, proper fuel for the body, easy to cook, easy cleanup. Someone once said you can’t get full on fancy.

This is the kind of food I grew up on: Ground Beef & Eggs
My mom used to call it "country breakfast."
We didn't have much food when I was a kid.
We never ate out. We couldn't afford seafood or steak. I didn't even try a steak until I was 16, and it was one I bought myself from money I made working.
We never had snacks and hardly ever had dessert. Any vegetables we ate were always canned goods.
The only fruit we ate was what grew natural in the area, which were apples and blackberries. But they were seasonal. In the winter to spring, we typically ate no fruit.
Our cupboards were often bare. Sometimes, we had to get food from the food bank.
Mom made a lot of spaghetti, casseroles, and meatloaf.
But one of my favorites was this "country breakfast." I think she had to use powdered eggs, but I didn't care. I liked it!
I still make it often, not because I can't afford a steak, but because it gives me everything I need and it keeps my appetite fully satisfied.
This is 8oz of local black angus ground beef with 2 duck eggs, also from a local friend who has chickens and ducks.
The cost is about $5.50. It would be even cheaper with budget store-bought meat and eggs.
This is the kind of food that I've been eating for almost three years now.
The kind of food that has helped me become the healthiest I've ever been.
This is my kind of "country breakfast."

@_SFTahoe We didn't vote for a Terafab, digital Optimus, or space compute, and we didn't include them in his incentives.
You'd almost think he's motivated by what's best for the company (and humanity) than he is by the incentive schemes.

First, Tesla shareholders vote in favor of CEO Incentive plan with audacious milestones.
Then, Elon Musk makes Bold Bets like a TeraFab, Digital Optimus and AI Space Compute.
Inevitably, the EXACT SAME critics that dismissed the milestones as “impossible” will say were too easy…..

@BoBbyPleWniaK @colin_gladman I never graduated from purchasing more golf balls😎. Finally my back told me to retire the clubs.

I switched to pickleball two years ago and am very happy with the decision.
I played competitive junior and amateur golf for years. After leaving the corporate world, I played 250+ rounds a year for the first two years. Over the next four years, I traveled and tried to play again but struggled with the time off. I lacked the motivation to practice or play that much, and trying to break 77 just wasn’t fun anymore. It’s hard going from being a scratch to 3 handicap your whole life to struggling to break 80.
Pickleball was a good replacement for me

Golf…..
What I think I like so much about it, like trading, you’re always chasing perfection knowing you’re never going to achieve it.
And also like trading, no matter how good you are, you’re gonna have moments of humble pie.
I literally played my worst around in a decade today and had some of my worst stretches maybe ever. Didn’t think I was going to break 90.
Very humbling, but told the wife “We don’t quit, and gonna keep grinding.”
Managed to birdie 3 of the last 4 and stick tight on 18 for a gimmie birdie (we still put those around here).
Some days you’re the nail and some days you’re the hammer.
I was big fat nail today.
But at the end of the day, it was a beautiful day, with my beautiful wife, and life is good.
Onwards.

This is the best diet advice ever
Tim@TimurNegru
100 g of Parmigiano Reggiano completely covers the need for vitamin B12 and biotin, a third of the requirement of vitamin A and B2, and from 1/5 to 1/10 of the requirements of other vitamins. It also contains 38g of protein.

@CaryKelly11 In the Air Force we were all ‘lined up’ if we still had them, late 1980s. Not sure if they still do.

Based on dental statistics and surveys, around 85-90% of people in the US end up having at least one wisdom tooth removed!
What on earth did humans do before dental surgeons? 🤷♂️
Cary Kelly@CaryKelly11
Who still has their wisdom teeth? Two different dentists asked for mine and I said no.
