How did Tesla gain EV market share after the U.S. EV tax incentive expired? 🤔 My followers already know. $TSLA

@MZ4353600353386 “Brad” (fake name) wiped out his portfolio shorting $TSLA in 2019 and has stepped on every rake since, shorting bottoms he mistook for tops.

Uploading... ... the longest video I've ever posted, weighing in at an absurd 129 minutes (the same runtime as Primal Fear, @grok tells me). It's the latest in my weekly subscriber-exclusive podcast "James & Loki's Gems of the Week" and includes "Breakfast with Loki" this week.

6 years ago today, Alameda County was still barring @elonmusk from reopening Tesla’s Fremont factory (due to Covid restrictions), prompting 2 longtime Tesla short sellers to wonder if Tesla would declare bankruptcy before reporting Q2 earnings. The following day, $TSLA stock traded below $50 (split-adjusted) for the final time. 😎

@ICannot_Enough @elonmusk I predict $TSLA will be forced into bankruptcy within three years. Massive cash burn and massive shareholder and product liability class action law suits is what will cause it. Feel free to re-tweet in three years.

@LimitingThe 😡: “We can’t put solar panels on 1% of Earth’s surface! 100% of Earth’s surface has already been developed for productive uses!” 🧐: “Even if that were true, couldn’t we just put some solar panels on the roof or as shade structures over the parking lots?” 😡

In my never ending effort to provide balance to the $TSLA community, I’m including long-time TSLA bear @BradMunchen ‘s commentary and relevant Q&A from yesterday’s call. Munchen: “Most importantly, Musk literally said that FSD isn't safe enough yet, & robotaxis would probably be material to profits next year.”

@MattWallaceTech The clear acrylic box around the Cybercab is a very sensible security precaution in Vice City!

Everyone is free to guess that the vote would be 50-50 without their vote, no matter how the question is presented. The way that I framed the question perhaps dissuades most people from believing such an absurdity. In any vote with immediate life or death consequences, the vote wouldn’t be close, the human survival instinct being what it is. The set of all humans available to take a poll on whether they would like to drink poison is by necessity composed solely of persons who have not previously made that decision affirmatively.

No, dear James! This is one of those sets of question types where you are invited to deduce data from outside the frame to determine your choice, and the very framing determines how much data you are willing to deduce/include/discard, thus the different results! For example, if you were 100% certain that the vote was going to be split 50:50 and that YOU had the deciding riskless vote, then you WOULD choose Blue. If you were only 80% sure, then you might not take the risk. The answer is dependant on what you believe the final result is, data not supplied.

There’s a knock at your door. A stranger offers you a free refreshing glass of sweet, fruity kool-aid containing a deadly poison. If more than half the people he offers poisoned kool-aid to drink it, he’ll quickly give you all the antidote. Or you can say no and not risk dying.

@D0li0 @ZPEdisclosure If only the technology existed to actually harness free fusion energy so we could all live independently from the utility power grid… there must be some way of doing it. That’s what Elon should’ve been working on this whole time! 🤬

If Elon actually cared about energy he'd be funding fusion not selling solar panels and batteries. The real money is in making the grid obsolete, not selling products that depend on it.

@D0li0 @ZPEdisclosure That's what Elon would be working on if he actually cared! 🙃 Editor's Note: before making my reply to the original post above- which couldn't be more backwards- I had to scroll lots of the OP's other posts so I could make sure I wasn't actually replying to a skilled parodist.

What if there were a huge fusion reactor in the sky that ran all the time, generating and radiating unfathomable amounts of light and heat energy, and there was never any need to buy more fuel to keep it running or perform maintenance on it- so it was truly free- all you had to do was build some photovoltaic cells to convert its energy into usable power that could be stored in batteries? What then??

"Elon does nothing at SpaceX and the only thing he did at Tesla was the Cybertruck" Instant giveaway that someone has no idea what's actually happening. Tesla owner since 2019 and I literally work at SpaceX, but go ahead and tell me about it, you aren't even in the same hemisphere.
Tim 🏳️‍🌈@LuftkoppTim

He IS stupid. HE doesn't do shit at SpaceX. He had a decent idea about reusing rockets but that's not something only he thought about and all he literally did was "having money". The engineers and scientists at SpaceX are the people that ACTUALLY do this stuff. The actual companies he had active influence in were all shit. From his BoringCompany to the only car he co-designed - the Cybertruck.

I would not drink the kool-aid, in YOUR framing, which ensures a smaller "acceptable" death percentage. HOWEVER in the red/blue Mr Beast framing, I KNOW close to 50% will choose BLUE - and I can not let them die (EVEN IF they are not "perfectly rational economic actors"). AND the results bore that out, by blue winning and no one dying. The real question is: What % of the human population would you let die before coming to their aid and risking your life, and what percentage of the human population do you think would choose blue and how close would you come to tipping the balance so all survive?
