@GoldyHappens It's a 75 to 80 win team at best.. what's to get excited about? Outside of their fluke World Series run in 2023 this has been a bad franchise for most of its existence (early 2000s aside)

I’m really curious to see how the crowds are next week at Chase Field after Opening Day. I’m a sicko but it feels like a lot of my friends are pretty disinterested in the #DBacks season starting…

@BigJoeBastardi @DanielTurnerPTF Using that graphic as a correlation to a lack of climate change is mind-bendingly stupid. Of course there were more deaths 100 years ago, now we have central air/heat, advanced warning systems for severe weather, more education/awareness (present company excluded it seems).

@DanielTurnerPTF ? to Grok. Is life better than ever on planet earth? Yes, by nearly every objective, measurable indicator of human well-being, life on planet Earth has never been better Why dont you deal with facts instead of hysteria

@GMUW1987 @NWSPhoenix I don't that word means what you think it does. They literally just reported the temperatures that were observed.

High temperatures once again were 15-20 degrees above average, with both Phoenix and Yuma breaking daily records while El Centro tied it. Expect very similar temperatures for Thursday. #azwx #cawx

LOL These recent record temperatures are rather silly as they are for single locations for a specific day and determined by a heat dome that has nothing to do with rising CO2. The real evidence of global warming is the record maximum temperature for each state for March suggesting no global warming

@JimSteeleSkepti I genuinely feel bad for you. Being wrong about an issue is one thing, but to be so bitter and have nothing but insults toward people that don't agree with you... at 75 years old, what a truly sad existence. Oh well, stay old and bitter dude.

My apologies Groff. I'm not pushong ad hominems! Unlike your suggestions I am a self created denier, many retards simply suffer from genetic anomalies and they should not be demeaned for acts of nature. I don't mean to demean your deficiencies! I'm just pointing out why you suffer from such deficiencies.

@GMUW1987 @simongerman600 I used to love the weather channel in the 80s/90s, then they started naming winter storms and became all about the sensationalism.

Phoenix has been VERY hot so far this year. It isn’t the birthplace of air conditioning but without the technology the city would be as big and important as it is. I wonder therefore how much locals even feel the increase in temperatures. Source of the chart: reddit.com/r/dataisbeauti…

@JimSteeleSkepti More ad hominem. "retard", "stupid". Always the sign of a cogent, well crafted argument. "there's no global warming" *gets shown there is* "yeah but you're retarded". Imagine being a 75 year old man insulting random people on social media... That says a lot, sadly.

LOL Groff keeps using the "dementia defense" by constantly replying "I am so confused" LOL Now to ignore the UHI refutation of his bogus warming trend graph, he deflects with "even rural areas that are seeing substantial increases in temperatures are ignored by you". What a retard! I , nor any skeptic, argues rural areas don't also warm during a heatwave. Still rural temperatures don't report record breaking temperatures as high as urban centers.

@GMUW1987 @simongerman600 "climate alarmists"... 1) We're talking about the weather for next werk, not climate... Huge difference and... 2) Looks like mid 80s to me.

@JaredP849 @OneBadDude_ Oh sure, it's got to be cheating... It most certainly isn't the sky rocketing grocery, gas/energy prices (the ones Trump promised to cut in half in his first year), increasing umemployment, more of a police state, needless wars (deapite promise of no wars)... But yeah, "cheating"

@OneBadDude_ These gains in red states are indicative of cheating. Increased investigative pressure is needed. R’s collectively need to stop being so complacent and apathetic!

This should scare the hell out of everyone. The midterms are coming. Stop the bickering, stop the infighting, head down, eyes on the prize. If we f**k this up, we lose everything we’ve worked the last decade for. If we lose the midterms, we lose the country, perhaps forever.

@JimSteeleSkepti @DMarianoparise @ChrisMartzWX Not sure when I said "climate crisis" nor did I simply use one dataset. I guess we can add lack of reading comprehension and intentionally being obtuse to your ever so impressive resume.

@DMarianoparise @JimSteeleSkepti @ChrisMartzWX There's no actual record or verified source of this, also there weren't widespread standards regarding thermometer placement and housing/shielding, nor official, consistent record keeping. Sorry, not buying it.

@JimSteeleSkepti So, even rural areas that are seeing substantial increases in temperatures are ignored by you, despite the fact that there are clear changes in rainfall distribution, vegetation, and other environmental impacts on going. Nice ad hominem argument though, always a winner!

LOL That is the problem with today's media. There are too many meteorologists holding forth that are so easily confused they don't know the difference between climate change and local temperature change. And unaware of your own stupidity, you call us scientists that try to educate you "deniers".

@JimSteeleSkepti Well, I'm confused.. Climate change deniers tell me "it doesn't exist", but then tell me "but UHI". Either man influences climate or not. Also, it's not just Phoenix getting progressively hotter, fairly similar Trends can be found all over (especially in the west).

True. The map was created before Arizona's record high. We'll see what records change when these preliminary temperatures are validated. And please, Phoenix temperature trends? Despite your claim to be a meteorologist, your data doesn't account for UHI effects as population of Phoenix grew 1900: 5,544 residents. 1950: ~106,818 residents. 1960: ~439,000 (city area quadrupled). 1980: Entered the top 10 most populous US cities. 2000: 1.32 million. 2020-2026: Over 1.6 million. Notice how UHI has caused some built up areas to be 10F warmer than neighboring communities. It is not about climate change but landscape change.
