Combining deep math theory with practical implementation leads to many cool things. This is the heart-and-soul of computer science and engineering. AWSs latest blog is a beautiful example, describing and visualizing the transformation from tree-based networks to pseudo-random graphs in their DCs. @FiloSottile This incentive is applicable on both employee comp (including RSU/stock!) and/or self-employed income. In the first case, applying is usually straightforward: just ask to your employer. Commitment: residency in Italy for 2yrs. It's a great scheme, but we suck at advertising it.

@FiloSottile +1, I'm currently leveraging this. It's as good as it sounds but to clarify @FiloSottile wording: you're taxed ON 30% (10% if you live in southern Italy) for 5 yrs, from day 1. Then, further 5yrs ON 50% if you have minors or you buy a property.

Hiring engineering talent is hard. And yet, there is a large pool of engineering talent up for grabs by any company that can muster the courage to say: - remote policy is yes - SF/NY mid-market rate worldwide after taxes/benefits - unlimited immigration budget - four day weeks
