The space is about to learn what RORS actually means with our staking system @pixel_dungeons just rewarded their stakers 297k $PIXEL & only 1.1m $PIXEL is staked (they do weekly distributions) The better the RORS, the better the rewards a game will be able to give to stakers

I bet only during events or for new players do they actually take the time to engage with these NPCs. 🔹That’s why! Key strategic changes in Pixels moving forward... 👉 Focusing on quality DAU rather than DAA 👉 Gating more core game features & earnings behind VIP (requires a purchase) in the short-term 👉 In-game earnings will be further targeted towards people interested in holding or spending $PIXEL 👉 There will be heavier fees on withdrawal of $PIXEL (those fees will be distributed to stakers) 👉 Players will soon be able to withdraw a spend/stake-only token $vPIXEL using tech from @limitbreak - withdrawing $vPIXEL will not have any fees & can be used in partner games just like normal $PIXEL & $vPIXEL will be backed 1:1 with $PIXEL 👉 More earnings will come from staking (launching next week) 👉 Staking distributions will be tied to in-game activity & spend (the better Pixels performs, the more earnings) 👉 Team will hyper-focus on updates around completing core loops (Chapter 3) 👉 Game will also go back to its roots and start implementing more social casual features which was our key differentiator on launch 👉 Players that have in-game balance of $PIXEL will have their balance automatically staked! There will be a boost on those earnings from holding the Farm Land NFT 👉 We'll start re-incorporating growth-oriented earnings into the ecosystem (referrals, content creation) There will be some short-term pain when it comes to some of the metrics we're known for (high DAA) & there will be some users that have become accustomed to how the old earnings systems worked that will likely leave. Everyone has seen how they have helped @pixels_online grow to insane metrics. Pixels got this big despite how early the game was, thanks to these systems! To build a fundamentally sound play-to-earn game requires getting a whole stack of things right... 👉 Fun gameplay that people love is the core & the foundation 👉 Smart data-backed earnings are crucial. Making sure you give tokens to the right people who also want to help the ecosystem grow can only be done with great data-science, and smart rewards. 👉 Secondary mechanisms that help align the long-term of the ecosystem... 1⃣ Reasons to hold the token (staking) 2⃣ Alignment with KPIs to earnings (staking rewards are aligned with in-game revenue) 3⃣ Preferences given to people who want to hold the token to people vs people that want to sell (withdrawal/liquidity fees) 4⃣ Preferences given to people who want to use the tokens vs want to sell (@limitbreak ERC20c integration) There are two high level goals for the $PIXEL ecosystem right now... 1⃣ Providing a great gaming experience that is competitive against web2 games across the $PIXEL portfolio The next goal is for the team to sprint towards getting @pixels_online to feature parity with best-in class f2p games. There is still a lot of work to do here; the team's primary focus will be building the systems that complete core loops & support it. Essentially making the game more fun. We'll also to continue to build more first party titles like Pixels Pals - our mobile-first tamagotchi-style game coming out in ~June-July. And we'll continue to find great partners like @RuniverseGame and @pixel_dungeons that want to experiment with using $PIXEL in their games. And the cool thing about all of these initiatives is that as the ecosystem continues to mature & there is more in-game spend, those rewards will continue to flow to stakers of $PIXEL. 2⃣ Building a platform that enables better p2e for other games There is some great tech that we have built to enable better insights on earnings that we use inside of @pixels_online & @pixel_dungeons right now. As we've been building this tech, we've been building it in a way to support many customers. Building this in tandem with @pixels_online has been invaluable - because we get an actual live game to experiment with this tech in - as there is still a lot to figure out. A lot of the work we've been doing is building a dataset & insights on what happens with earnings when you give it to users. We are learning... 👉 What types of users are holding tokens 👉 What types of users are spending them 👉 What types of rewards are most effective for specific KPIs 👉 Where in the user journey rewards are most effective We aim to build tech that will not only help other web3 games - but also enable web2 games to grow even better than they would alongside their traditional UA methods. As these products we build mature, they will also tie in to our staking system. TL;DR Pixels has learned a lot over the last year, our strategy is shifting slightly. Our focus will be on improving gameplay rapidly across the $PIXEL ecosystem & shifting our earnings strategy to better reward people who are here for the long-term of the ecosystem.
