The teams were led by Dr. Aly Kassam Remtulla, the board chair Mpala Research Center, Dr. Winnie Kiiru, Executive Director of Mpala Research Center and Eduardo Bhatia from Princeton University. In their remarks, Dr. Remtulla underscored the vital role KWS plays in the day to day operations of the facility calling for enhanced collaboration. Dr. Kiiru thanked KWS for its continued operational support especially in security planning and provision. Prof Kanga called for cooperation and collaboration by all parties involved in regulating research in wildlife and its habitats. He challenged the teams to have a one stop shop for research permits to facilitate a seamless process in acquiring the permits which will eventually result in Kenya to be a preferred wildlife research destination. #PartnershipsForWildlife
