Yesterday was my last contract day at @QMUL. I enjoyed working the last 3 years at @QMUL_C4TB with an amazing team! Although the pandemic complicated things a lot, THANKS to everyone whom made my time at the #UK unforgettable. I am starting at @MedUni_Wien in Austria on Monday!

@Kevin_Fong @TimothyKey12 Yes absolutely! But what I’ve seen is very very junior nurses having to do something they never should have had to do! Very hard to watch but no other option and i feel incredibly guilty about this! This is a good info graph but the nursing reality is far worse than this!

I remember checking the COVID-19 tracker all the time and everyone at the office would laugh at me. Around March 10th we all somehow agreed: we are biomedical researchers doing computational work, it looks like the sensible thing to do is to start wfh as soon as possible.

I’m also having lots of feedback about how brilliantly the vaccination centres are working and how impressive the set up is. In a sea of incompetence, investing in vaccines and rolling them out is likely to be the best thing this government has done. But the bar is set very low..

It's so upsetting to see England go back into lockdown in the same desperate situation as 10 months ago. I've just emerged in NZ after 2wks' quarantine and the contrast is heartbreaking. There's no explanation other than thoroughgoing government incompetence; I'll never forget it
