You cannot take type 1 and type 2 in the same statistics. It’s two completely different diseases. Type 2 is caused by overeating sugar/carbs so that your insulinsystem are not able to prosess it correctly. Weightloss and healthier food can stop it. Type 1 is an autoimmune disease where your body attacks the insulin producing cells in your body and you have to inject insulin from outside your body. The rest of your life. No cure exists.
