Ok one, this is crazy, and two, I canโt articulate it well but thereโs something kinda off about a foreigner being able to hit 4 Caribbean islands in one day but it costing me $400 USD to go Barbados or St Lucia (which is right there) and back

people definitely donโt understand that west indians donโt get to explore each others culture the way a tourist can. the income isnโt high enough in the islands to go here and there, even though the islands are a few miles apart.
some people donโt even get to see the other side of their island, the economy is messed up
