Yeah, that’s $150 for the ticket only, then you add $35-$76 for a carry on bag each way (price determined on when you pay the bag fee), checked bag costs $34-$79 for the first bag (same price determination as carry on) mind you checked bags have a 40lbs (delta 50lbs) max before you hit with yet another fee of like $125. You’re going to end up around $400-$450 anyway 😂

@CFC_Junior_ @acidiclemon2 @Dangerkvaerna @GH_Quinton Why are you placing legal parameters on the scenario? The scenario said “everyone on earth” not “every one of legal voting age on earth”. You’re arguing a different scenario than the one provided

@acidiclemon2 @Dangerkvaerna @GH_Quinton Yes it’s almost like every country ever to exist has eligibility for voting. Why did you suddenly unapply that when we were talking about this thought experiment? Everyone understands there’s a minimum capacity required to vote hence why there is eligibility requirements??? 🤨

@LadyLiberty7524 @TheRealJChubby Republic refers to the structure of power, democracy refers to how legislative action is taken. Article 4, Sec 4 of the constitution says that we will have a republican government. When you look at the context of the constitution, all that is saying is that we aren’t a monarchy

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX We’re just arguing two different situations atp. I can see where, in your situation of limiting what “everyone in the world” means, you’d choose red. But that’s simply not what’s presented to us. I can mindlessly say aye at a vote, and still have it tallied

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX Exactly. Including in the everyone in the world. If you factor in those people, are you still pressing red to guarantee your survival? The group of people that we both described have a low probability of collectively voting over 50% blue.

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX And do you have enough faith in the rest of the world to vote in a way that would benefit you. That’s why I said that voting red is selfish; you only care about the option that is guaranteed for your survival, as you don’t have trust that others would want group survival

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX I don’t think that factoring in those under 15 and those over 65, who make up around 25% of the population, into the “everyone in the world” would change what the basic question is. It’s game theory, applied to the world. Do you care how your actions affect the rest of the world?

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX Then you’re changing the scenario lol. That is a different scenario than the one that’s presented. In the original scenario, it factors in those that aren’t capable of “actually choosing”. The tweet clearly says “everyone on earth”. You’re adding in extra parameters

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX So what you’re saying that Mr. Beast’s scenario is worded wrong, and that your choosing red is under the assumption that only people that are capable of actually choosing, meaning thinking about it, not just pressing a button, are given the choice, rather than everyone?

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX How is it another scenario? The tweet states that everyone in the world is faced with the situation including children, the elderly, and the mentally disabled all are faced with the situation too. Do you think that, if any of them press blue, they’re willingly killing themselves?

Ty@cozykidty·
@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX It’s selfish because you’re not considering the fact that the scenario considers everyone, including those that may not understand the situation, and will choose a color without thought. Why not think about those people?

@AUsDorian @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX In the scenario in which everyone has to vote, there will undoubtedly be people that press red. In order for everyone to live, you would either need 100% of people to vote red (impossible), or 50% of people to vote blue(more likely). Voting red is just simply selfish lol

@cozykidty @JustIdeals @hangry_muppet @ChardySPX In an scenario where you can not play pressing blue risks killing you and there is no reason why you would press it Once you realize not playing and pressing red have the same consequence of lowering blue's % you realize the issue

@scottnoah07 @raw_eth @shaulamoder Why wouldn’t you want to choose the one that has the highest likelihood of everyone living? It’s a lot easier to believe that 50% of people would press the blue button, ensuring that everyone lives, than 100% of people pressing the red button, ensuring that everyone lives

all the worst people in the universe deliberately miswording the question and choosing red in the replies/quote tweets unless you value your own life more than that of billions of people as well as many of those you love, blue is the obvious answer
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@Tamias1000 @Birdspawn16 @WokeFDR Why wouldn’t the human response be to choose blue, to ensure that situations like that don’t occur? The elderly, children, and disabled don’t make up 50% of the global population, so why wouldn’t everyone else just choose blue to account for the chance that they all choose red

@zvvzhe @obviouslyri After going through OP’s replies, I understand and agree with their point, but I think it still got lost a bit. It might’ve been a personal perception thing, but the wording definitely helped. “But it’s costing me $400”, as if speed is getting the travel for much cheaper

i think that the assumption of “hating” was personal perception thing. i think the weirdness OP is referring to is that the travel in the Caribbean is honestly tailored to rich foreigners. it’s like yes the price is the problem, but the real issue is the leaders in the countries prioritizing foreigners/tourists. it’s keeping the Caribbean under a thumb, where the economy is rooted pretty exclusively in tourism, without really ever getting to experience the traveling side of these islands they’re surrounded by and live on.

Ok one, this is crazy, and two, I can’t articulate it well but there’s something kinda off about a foreigner being able to hit 4 Caribbean islands in one day but it costing me $400 USD to go Barbados or St Lucia (which is right there) and back
