@3075hokey@SA_Mgmt An oft used trope, but incorrect in this case - the software is open source, so the code can be checked to confirm. Any income is made through users donating once they realise how good the software is 🙂
@Outlook When will you allow people to delete future occurrences of a meeting only, like Google calendar has had for over a decade at this point? I want to keep an auditable diary, not delete every meeting in a series. This is basic.
MS Outlook letting you add a Google calendar to your Outlook calendar but only allowing the added calendar to function as a secondary calendar AND THEN essentially making you take 50 million extra steps to duplicate events from the secondary calendar is sooooo
@OGcalsync I used your excellent tool to sync my personal Gmail appointments to my work Outlook calendar. A coworker mentioned that he could see these, due to team sharing rights.
In Sync Options, I checked Set privacy to Private, but it has not changed the privacy on the existing items. Is there a way to update the existing items or delete all synced items and recreate them with this option checked?
@javierregueira 8Gb of RAM isn't much if you're multitasking, so upgrading that would probably be sensible anyway. If you're syncing a large date range or number of calendar items, then try reducing that. If you're syncing an Exchange calendar, ensure it is in cached mode.
@OGcalsync It´s happened in Zoom, Teams and Blackboard. Evidence: when the system freezes, I check "task administrator" and most of the system capacity is being used by OGCS... Ways to make OGCS less demanding? Proxy, etc?
@OGcalsync hello again. I am super happy with how the app works but it seems to be causing my system to become unstable, specially during videocalls. Any troubleshooting tips for that? I have Windows 11 home 64 bits, 2,60 Ghz processor and 8Gb RAM.
@javierregueira If the system has frozen how have you managed to check task administrator? What system capacity? Memory? CPU? Is OGCS actively syncing at the time of "freeze"?
@OGcalsync I have found your fantastic tool but seem to be having a problem configuring it and it does not work. Do you have a user friendly tutorial that I can follow to install? Tkx
Trying to plan a Bachelor party and someone in the groupchat said they had to check... THE FRIDGE CALENDAR
I'm sorry what? Does anyone really use physical calendars still?!
@OGcalsync the latest beta 2.11 version doesn't sync nor connect to my Google calendar. Even though I have connected and have access to my Google calendar
Error is "unable to get list of Google calendars. Request had insufficient authentication scopes "
@imZaytri oh the irony is that I'd love to use Outlook more but for some reason it hates all of my accounts, because of the calendar integration. but following in case there are some good options!
Calendar people: What is the best solution/app for biz/personal calendar linkage?
Our org doesn't allow us to sync personal Google calendars into outlook. Any apps that solve this problem?
An academic diary (day per page) is £3.49 in Tesco.
Can anyone convince me why I need to buy anything that costs more than that?
Maybe £10 for a fancy cover, but what do fancy diaries actually bring to the game?
(Yes yes I know I should just use an online calendar)
Am I the only person annoyed that Outlook calendar allows people (usually admin) to just set up meetings assuming that you are available? How can I stop this?
@turbosocal Not quite sure what kind of help you're looking for? The message looks pretty clear: you're trying to sync to an Outlook calendar you don't have update permission on - it even suggests how you might resolve that...
New OGCS release v2.10.5 Alpha! 🎉
Staged roll-out for existing users may mean it's not available through the app for a few days, unless manually downloaded. github.com/phw198/Outlook…
