@stevenpaletz Jason, Joe and Brittany haven't done this. Why are we giving a pass to the oldest and most "senior" Democrat in Congress from Colorado? If her younger colleagues can deal with protests and interruption without putting hands on voters, so can she after THIRTY YEARS in office.

Joe Neguse, Jason Crow, & Brittany Pettersen get protested too for similar votes. But none of them have chased a voter, put hands on them, or yelled. Thirty years in office and DeGette thinks she’s untouchable. Denver has gotten nothing from her. It’s time for change.

It's crazy that DeGette is so old and has been in office so long that she was lecturing anti-iraq war activists in 2003.... We need serious term limits in Congress.

I’m not a big fan of these trying-to-go-viral ambushes of electeds, but goddamn Diana DeGette really couldn’t have handled this any worse. A lot of longtime incumbents haven’t faced a serious primary challenge in a long time & don’t know how to handle even a tiny bit of pressure

@stevenpaletz DeGette is a sitting congresswoman. There's always cameras pointing at her. Joe Neguse, Brittany Pettersen and Jason Crow have faced similar protests and questions. They have never once chased down a voter, yelled in their face and physically grabbed their shoulder.

Disgusting. Diana DeGette chases a voter, physically grabs them, and screams. Thirty years in office and this is the entitlement? This is what happens when politicians think the seat belongs to them instead of the people. Are we really okay with incumbents treating voters like this? Democrats cannot nominate someone accused of putting hands on voters they disagree with. Shame.

If Illinois Democrats used Colorado’s ballot access system, you wouldn’t see 10 candidates splitting every race. Progressives need to consolidate earlier or adopt tools like ranked choice voting. Stop dividing the vote and handing power to big donors.
