you may know me as Natz with the anime girl pfp. the most (not)surprising fact is that i wasn’t pretending to be a girl, i actually am her 2026 is the year where i’d like to focus on two things i’ve always underestimated: i) focusing on the market in the country where I was born ii) building a personal brand let’s start with the second one, because it’s pretty easy to understand why it might be worth it for all of us to start building our personal brands i’m not gonna lie, for a long time i kept hearing from people around me that I should undoxx myself and use the advantage of being a girl in a male-dominated space like crypto. i didn’t really want to do it, i was scared that i’d be perceived as a woman first, not as someone who just like all of you is learning new things about the financial world, joking around, sharing some thoughts, and just being here earlier than the average person. but here i am, saying “hi” to all of you as Natalia, which is my real name, with a pfp that shows the real person behind this account. i actually have 0 control over what others gonna think about me, so at this point the best i can do is just try so why am i doing it? the reasoning below: 1) it’s not CT in 2021 anymore back in the day, everyone was hidden behind NFT pfps and people were literally scared of getting robbed by someone trying to steal their crypto. the second reason is still fully understandable for whales (which im not lol), but the first one is just holding us back from building a real personal brand. im not saying you can’t build one while staying undoxxed, I just think the time when the bar was set lower has passed, and now it’s harder to grow without showing your real face. also, as a BD person, I know how important it is to build bonds and relationships, and yes, it’s really easy to be "friends" in crypto, but if you want to get closer to institutions or reach a specific audience, I believe showing your face is a real advantage that can only help you nowadays. 2) AI is surprising us every day, but it hasn’t been great with personality (yet) shoutout to @mattshumer_ and his great article about AI and what’s about to happen next (x.com/mattshumer_/st…) from reading it, i’ve concluded that as long as AI hasn’t really started building relationships with us and a sense of personality, people who are into building relationships based on the personality are still “safe” (probably not for long tho), so I want to believe I still have some time to build my brand before AI personas completely flood us 3) different markets, different needs this point is connected to my first focus this year - focusing on the market in the country where I was born. different markets have different conditions and different needs. the market I’d like to focus on needs its own real builders. we're still very early here, and I know that for my friends and family it would be easier to believe in crypto and understand the financial systems in general by seeing real people behind it. when i was a kid, my mom wouldn't believe i was having a sleepover at my friend's place until she actually saw her. the same rule applies to some people when it comes to almost everything. if we’re here and not giving people ourselves, what’s even the point of believing in crypto adoption without participating in it and sharing it with others? these three points were the most important to me when making this decision. maybe it’s not the right one, idk, but i won’t know until i try and see for myself. the first focus that i already mentioned in the third point is that I’m pivoting to focus on the Polish market. why? 1) i’m Polish, i know who we are the advantage I have, which can only help me with this, is that I’m Polish. I was born here and I’ve spent almost my entire life surrounded by Polish people every single day. I know how we think, how we act, what we like, and what makes us skeptical. Polish people are determined to make money. We’re ambitious. But we don’t trust easily. History made us being skeptical, so you should sell us logic and trust first. another thing is that from the very beginning, I’ve been exposed to the financial services Poland offers like traditional banks, payments, etc. I understand the baseline we’re operating from. 2) adoption is here. where’s education? Poland already has over 1 million estimated current crypto holders. depending on the methodology, somewhere between 10-20% of people have had exposure to crypto at some point, and around 18% have owned it. 60% of Poles disagree with the idea that crypto is immoral. 91% of crypto users want the government to actively support blockchain businesses. thanks to my previous workplace and the people i met there, I’ve had the chance to connect with Polish crypto communities, and one of my biggest regrets is that i didn’t meet them earlier. these people have capital, curiosity and they’re very good builders but outside of that circle, there are still many people who are curious but don’t know where to start. they hear about crypto, but they don’t understand how it actually works or how it connects to their everyday financial life. that’s where the real potential is. there’s a gap between interest and understanding and that gap is where i see the opportunity. wanted to write more about the current market situation in Poland, but i just realized i won’t have enough cool facts (kek) left for future posts dedicated to it, so let’s leave that for another time I’m definitely gonna try different approaches, post here and there, maybe even see if creating video content turns out to be something I feel good doing I’m happy I shared this piece, it already feels like a commitment to start sharing what I’ve been digging into for quite some time now, and I don’t know how I feel about it yet because I’ve never been very consistent, but lets see xx
