@sidhant_sarthak @FrameworkPuter Framework officially supports Fedora, Bazzite, and Ubuntu across all of their devices. I personally run Arch (btw) on a Framework Desktop, 13, and 16.

Because we brought in enough inventory ahead of time, we're currently selling SN850X SSDs for about 40% of the going market pricing. e.g. 8TB for $899 instead of the $2,399 that costs straight from SanDisk. Sticking to💸💸💸 for you rather than taking the extra margin.

@geerlingguy I just checked, and yeah, you have to give them all your person details. Presumably for matching, but then you are literally blasting out all your personal info to companies who's job it is to collect and sell personal info...

As the year 2025 draws to an end, I wanted to give a big THANK YOU and show my gratitude 🙇 to the @SvelteSociety London and @cityjsconf communities - esp @spences10 @arismarko @dan_starns who helped me get into these communities when I was a newbie to London's tech communities in 2022!!
Now I sit in gray and rainy (but jolly!!) Manchester 🌦️, and I'm only able to make my pilgrimage to London's tech communities about twice a year - but I still relish when I'm able to connect with old friends - @onlyspaceghost @cainux . Last night my wife asked me to install a “cute little npm package” she found on GitHub.
I checked the code.
No lockfile. No 2FA. Seven maintainers with anime avatars. Last commit was “pls work” from 2019. Published from a username that looked like a WiFi password.
The package had 57 transitive dependencies maintained by 119 people and 3 nation-state adversaries.
One dependency pulled in a prebuilt binary from a phpBB forum hosted on the dark web.
Another tried to contact an IP that belongs to a guy named “Big Ron.”
She said “babe it’s fine.”
I said “that’s what people say right before a supply chain incident.”
She went to bed annoyed.
I went to bed with a clean SBOM.

Last week I hosted family for Thanksgiving. My 12-year-old nephew asked for the WiFi password. He wanted to play Roblox on his iPad. I looked at the device. Unmanaged. No antivirus. No encryption. I’m an IT Professional. I don't run an open network. So I didn’t give him the password. Instead, I spent 45 minutes provisioning a Guest VLAN. I set up a captive portal. I throttled the bandwidth down to 56kbps. Then I blocked all traffic on ports 80 and 443. He came back crying. He said it wouldn't load. My sister screamed at me to "just let him play." I told her that Zero Trust architecture doesn't care about bloodlines. We didn't have a "fun" Thanksgiving. But we had a secure perimeter. You’re welcome for the compliance.

@The_Only_Tails @uwukko Sure but I'm sure if they tried to excercise that then the team would work to move away from Vercel. It's been four years and there is no Vercel specific logic in Kit - compared to Next which you can't use well outside Vercel - and we can see the difference

@uwukko Svelte is an independant project not owned or controlled by Vercel. If we lost Vercel's funding both by speaking out against Guillermo/Vercel, then we'd be ok!

@osamabodiaf Svelte, Nuxt, Solid, (even Astro) are all independent projects which are great alternatives to React and Next

@antoineb_dev @fakenine_ Svelte and Nuxt have first party support for other platforms, and you can easily build your own adapters if you have something custom. See opennext for information about nextjs opennext.js.org
