@Mike_Jagacki Particularly at younger levels, they may need the "easy" early to develop the skill at all. And only later, would they be ready for better D. Can't turn too many knobs at once.

@Mike_Jagacki Coach, you know I love your content but I disagree slightly. I think there needs to be a progression over time with CLA here. I can't speak for this trainer, but I do give clear advantage early in the season and constrict that as time goes on.

OK! Here's the best angle for the Grayson Allen gather & step thru. We're looking to see if he got the left foot down at same time/after he gathers with both hands. It's as close as humanly possible - hence, no way to detect with human eye in real time, benefit goes to the player. So next foot to touch becomes the pivot (in the NBA). Does he then move the right foot? YES - about 2.3 inches, which again, is difficult to detect in real time but it's there. Remember: refs need to be #certain on travel calls (unfair to use slow mo close up to judge but here we are). Without that slight move, perfectly legal move to lift the pivot foot in order to shoot or pass before it comes back down. 👌🏀
