🇱🇧🇮🇱 Lebanon and Israel are in Washington today for a second round of U.S.-brokered talks, with the ceasefire set to expire on Sunday. Israel wants Hezbollah disarmed and Lebanon wants Israeli troops out and the strikes to stop. The two sides couldn't be further apart. Worth noting: the ceasefire has reportedly been violated nearly 250 times by Israel. Just yesterday, 5 people were killed in southern Lebanon yesterday, including journalist Amal Khalil. Hard to see how talks solve anything when one side can't stick to what's already been agreed. Source: Al Mayadeen
