@teachbk My issue is a salary spent on a professional who doesn’t work with children. We need reading teachers. interventionists. I don’t need a book study, curriculum review, emails full of links, weekly meetings with stuff to look over ‘when I have time’ I need hands on help with kids!

i really do not get the hate for instructional coaches. someone explain it to me please

@teachbk My guess is that it has something to do with their pyramid of needs. If they listed them in ranked order where would the coach fit in? Mentors too; most are mutual relationships in the biz.

@mrskellylove One year I asked my son’s teacher not to. My son was conspicuously absent from all her posts throughout the year. Parents. Just talk to their teacher. It’s not that hard.

@mr_armorrisSTEM The backbone and interconnect infrastructure is supported by backup batteries, but yeah that lasts relative to the load put on it. Ideally you would conserve that for VOIP in the school, but there is no way to force off all the wireless clients.

I am thinking about this week when the lights when out during my Gateway class. They thought it would be chill time because the lights went out. We have laptops and the internet, we kept rolling. Learning never stops.
