Headed to Taipei for a few days. Who should I meet at NTU or elsewhere to geek out about agents, code generation, rubric rewards, and LLMs broadly?

ours might be the last generation, that knows life without a personal agent. compare losing your phone to losing your agent!

Check out our new blog post about TurboQuant for ICLR'26. Beyond its favorable empirical performance (6x speedup!), it provides an interesting theoretical foundation; raises interesting algorithmic questions for quantization for Nearest Neighbors & KV-cache Compression as well.
Google Research@GoogleResearch

Introducing TurboQuant: Our new compression algorithm that reduces LLM key-value cache memory by at least 6x and delivers up to 8x speedup, all with zero accuracy loss, redefining AI efficiency. Read the blog to learn how it achieves these results: goo.gle/4bsq2qI

@GauravML Bro, for folks of our generation, Enter Sandman is Indian spiritual music :-) Maybe the recommendations just got too good and met at a subliminal plane of parent and child ;-)

Google Home's voice recognition needs to improve a bit. My parents wanted to listen to some Indian spiritual music, and Google Home ended up playing Enter Sandman. Not kidding.

@rohindhar Is this true for single family homes as well. My understanding was the tenancy rules for them were more relaxed?

Conversation I have with potential sellers in San Francisco pretty often that want to sell their homes after moving on from it Want to sell your home? It's vacant? Okay probably will get around $3MM It's tenant occupied? Probably not sellable at any price that wouldn't be considered "distressed" So if you move, you truly have to think long and hard about whether you want to get into the landlord game and take on a tenant. You'll find that you won't have another opportunity to sell it at a decent price until the tenant moves out voluntarily, which may be never! And if you do want to get into the landlord game in San Francisco and generate income from your property, just assume you're in it for life. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something you shouldn't accidentally get into

@pulkitbe @_arohan_ We used to eke out the most out of the limited computer time back in those days :) Also what an engineering marvel, given that it was originally written in assembly and worked with barely any RAM and on Pentium I and its predecessors.

@pulkitbe @airindia Yeah, my parents had the same impression w.r.t. it being owned by Tata. It's just sad that travel from India is so hard currently with multiple airspace bans, wars, and grossly incompetent airlines.

@airindia You bumped off my senior citizen parents from the flight AI-173 a few hours before departure, with no other flights available for a week, even though we booked 2 months in advance and checked-in in time. This is extremely disrupting. Please help fix this mess ASAP!

@sriramk i was there, at Eden Gardens. Still remember it viscerally, the only game I got to watch live. Day 4, and Day 5.

@GauravML @airindia Thanks. Yeah, it's just a nightmare with them. At this point I just avoid them regardless of price, unless it's an emergency. Sad, I was hopeful Tata would turn them around.

@pulkitbe @airindia Wow, I can imagine your frustration. We had minimal expectations from them, and only picked them since they are the only non-stop option from Delhi currently. They are probably heavily overbooking these days and prioritizing those with higher tariffs.

@GauravML @_arohan_ it's the first computer game I played. My dad was working in Russia, I went to visit him and his colleague took me to his computer to play for a bit (this was maybe in 1994/95, I was 7-8). Years later I played and completed it when I was much older and had a computer :)

@Noahpinion because they recognize that if "singularity" does happen most elite labor which doesn't have political influence anyway will lose power and status.
