Steam IS the DRM. If you have to use their client as the only way to install the software, that is DRM, just one of many.

@MD_Chaos4 I felt the same way for the most part when I finally watched it. There is a remake titled Samurai Commando: Mission 1549 that is actually better in a lot of ways, but opinions vary.
