There’s criticism toward No Kings for demanding “nothing concrete.” I disagree; they demand that Americans vote Republicans out of office, and I guarantee every attendee of No Kings will show up to do just that. By contrast, what, *concretely*, does the revolutionary left demand?

For all the valid critique of No Kings (and it should be deeply criticized for its reactionary reformism to demobilize and deradicalize), the revolutionary Left needs to deal with the fact that, somehow, we're still being out organized by these people. That's Our Failure.

I absolutely love the delusion of "We need to convert wine moms so they can be redirected away from successful protest towards doing community work" like they aren't already doing both. And like the need some 20 year olds to come tell them how to do what they are already doing.

I’m pretty sure this was meant as a dig towards the No Kings protests but honestly this a great way of looking at it. A nation wide “pep rally”, with over ten million people participating ahead of the midterms sounds awesome actually.

@UltSportsBoards For sure. My grandma has a cousin that’s doing like Know Your Rights/How to Deal with ICE webinars and she’s like 70-something. Very standard lib dem. Some very online people conflate voters with the pols/consultants/pundits but those are very diff things as you alluded to

Leftists truly have no idea what the libs are up to. I have gone into these environments and talked to people and they’re in many cases doing more organizing than online complainers. A lot of it is quiet. Also being an organizer is not for everyone. It’s not even for me
