The reasons have next to nothing to do with Israel's conduct. Israel got more hate for being invaded than Russia did for launching an invasion.
Iran executed injured people lying in hospital beds and it got less attention than someone somewhere in Israel sneezing.
Western elites side with Hamas for the same reason they side with Pakistani grooming gangs. They are simply on the side of those people, as simple as.
