@DefiantLs Either she's living in a modest home and has donated most of what she's made, or she's disingenuous / gaslighting. But last I heard she was very wealthy. Billions and millions aren't much different to the everyday working class - so if Rosie's rich, she's still in that club.

The White House Correspondentsโ€™ Dinner shooter was armed with a shotgun, handgun, and multiple knives, according to DC police chief Jeffrey Carroll. The shooter was identified as 31-year-old teacher Cole Allen from Torrance, California. The suspect emerged from a "makeshift room" near the entrance, where "there was no security" near where bar carts were stored, according to the New York Post. "He was in that room... he grabbed it out of a bag or something." The weapon "was long" and "didnโ€™t look like a typical gun," a witness who was a volunteer at the event told the Post. It is reportedly believed that Allen was a guest at the Hilton hotel where the dinner took place.

You walk through a grocery store now and it feels unreal. $10 apples. $8 cereal. $11 eggs. Same store. Same paycheck. Different reality. And people are just expected to absorb it.

An American mom canโ€™t afford groceries โ€” so she sells her kidsโ€™ playhouse for $100. That $100 gets her 8 items. A childhood toy tradedโ€ฆ just to cover basic necessities. This isnโ€™t just inflation โ€” itโ€™s families being priced out of basic life.

@WallStreetApes I paid $5/movie for most of my life, unless I went to the big theaters (like AMC) which were about $10. They're more than twice that today, so we just don't go.

Younger generation Americans believe older generation American are completely out of touch with how much things cost, and the struggle they go though So a girl asks her dad how much he thinks it costs to go to the movies The older man says going to the movies is $5 for 2 tickets and popcorn is $3 For 2 standard tickets at AMC the price is $24 per ticket in some places in California, and a large popcorn is $12 Thatโ€™s $60 to go see one movie

North Carolina Hospitals have deployed these telepresence robots These allow doctors to interact remotely with patients. A real human doctor is operating this remotely and speaking with patients Yes, this is real. This is so dystopian North Carolina hospitals deployed these to combat doctor burnout and staffing shortages at some locations

@elonmusk I think the registry for people who have sexually assaulted children is vital - millions of parents use it to assess their neighborhoods and safety. A murderer registry sounds good, in theory, but the government doesn't have the best track record with implementing programs.

@slamgill @WallStreetApes 100% Although 20+ years ago, high school counselors and many other adults suggested that we go straight through to the master's, to be more employable.. I hope that today's young minds have a more realistic understanding of career paths and relevant education/degrees.

@RandiDandy @WallStreetApes True story. Most ppl I know with their Masters have even removed them from their resume because it gives of the impression they will ask for to much or look overqualified. Itโ€™s def specialized and better to attain while employed, esp teachers.

Americans are finding its very hard to get a job in todayโ€™s job market โ€œI just got denied from Walmart as a cashier. I have a f*cking master's degree, bro. I went to school for 12 yearsโ€ He says he has applied for roughly 300 entry level positions with a masters degree โ€œI have applied to over 300 companies and I've gotten response back from 11 of them. Why the f*ck do you think I'm applying to Walmart to be a cashier? Because no one is hiring. Why do you even post a job offering? You're not gonna hire anyone or respond.โ€ Current job market data - Roughly 42% of recent college graduates (ages 22โ€“27, bachelorโ€™s or higher) are underemployed - This is also the case of advanced degrees - Right now data says it is not uncommon for job seekers to put in as many as 250 applications before getting a call back This is crazy

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africaโ€™s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good โ€“ like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink โ€“ super fast satellite internet โ€“ to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: โ€œStarlink is not allowed because Iโ€™m not Black.โ€ SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (thatโ€™s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africaโ€™s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isnโ€™t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

Older generations say โ€œwe all struggled in our 20s.โ€ No, you didnโ€™t. You didnโ€™t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didnโ€™t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isnโ€™t dramatic. Theyโ€™re drowning.

@WallStreetApes A lot of people don't live within their means. And some of us do, and still can't seem to get ahead. But a lot of people who complain about being broke are spending more than they should - financial literacy should be required in high school.
