Clyde and Bill Walton are awesome. But just love the enthusiasm John Madden brought.

@BarrySchust When Layne played for the Steelers, a buddy of mine ran into him at an after-hours club in the early hours of a Sunday morning. He seemed to have had some cocktails. So my buddy made a big bet against the Steelers. Layne had a great game, and my buddy lost big.

Bobby Layne is such a great story. Played for the New York Bulldogs in 1949 (yes, the NFL). Then he moved on to Detroit where he was a 3x NFL Champion. His last championship, is also the teams' last one. 1957.

@Alvaroquinn Vol. 2 is fantastic. The 45 minute showdown is basically brilliant dialogue. And then there is Michael Madsen’s hat.

@rodimusprime He could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and his supporters would be cool with it.

@pengwyndolin Philly and delco have the most beautiful accents in the entire world. Whenever I get back from traveling nothing makes me feel more at home than hearing Philadelphia Area English in conversation
English

@pengwyndolin There is no such thing as a Pennsylvania accent. People from the Philly area sound nothing like people from Pittsburgh or elsewhere in the state.

Jay Willams says Jalen Brunson is the antithesis of what fanbases think about the NBA right now:
“He’s the antithesis. Well, guys are overpaid, he’s not overpaid. You think about other things teams are tanking, they didn’t tank they built it the right way, they built the right culture around that. Load management, when is he load managing? “Oh I hurt my pinky toe I can’t play.” This dude hurts his knee, he hurts his ankle, he comes back in and he closes a game down the stretch. You tell me this guy at 6’1, 6’2 isn’t the most likable player in the NBA right now, how do you root against a guy like that.”
