Why are we paying for all their crap?

By an 8-4 vote, the New Jersey Assembly State Assembly Appropriation Committee approved the "John Lewis Voter Empowerment Act" today. The bill would expand state courts’ power over elections, permitting them to change rules that violate the bill’s provisions, redraw voting districts, expand governing bodies, and move some election dates to coincide with higher-turnout state and federal races. Also included, is a provision which would require local officials to print translated election materials if at least 2%, or 4,000, of eligible voters speak a language other than English and have limited English proficiency. The bill would also create a new independent office, as part of the Treasury Department, to oversee elections where the voting rights or powers of racial and language minorities are limited.

Lisa Murkowski has been on the Senate floor for over ten minutes. As a member of the GOP, she's doing an EXCELLENT job of advocating for the SAVE America Act… oh wait... no, she's not. She's explaining why it's apparently TOO HARD to overcome logistical and geographical issues because of sled dogs and other things far less important than our nation's sovereignty. The amount of effort these people put into opposing something as simple as voter ID is astronomical and only proves how afraid they are.
