@PHChess I don't always agree with you, but I had just pointed the same to Jacob. Sindarov impressed me first in the freestyle events, beginning in the Jan 2025 Play-in, then in every single Freestyle event. The WCup was the first time it was like 'wow, he can do this in Classical too'

Sindarov plays lots of Freestyle events, played World Rapid+Blitz 2025 and Esports 2025. He does not win the Candidates because he focuses and specializes in Classical, but because he is good at chess, and loves to play any format and version of it.
