The real estate market is in the dumps with high prices and still high interest rates. You know what will get the market moving? My bill, No Tax On Home Sales Act, totally eliminates capital gains taxes on the sale of your primary home!! This allows you to keep all the equity you gained the years you owned your home, allowing you to come down a little on your asking price if need be because you will be able to keep all your equity gains! So how do we get that bill passed you ask? Well first, the House has to go back to work! But I can’t get a chance to pass my bill without leadership deciding to bring my bill to the floor for a vote. I bet you didn’t know that. You see members of Congress have tons of bills, too many to count. And the only way any of our bills get voted on by Congress is through leadership, they decide. So if you would like no capital gains taxes on the sale of your primary home, please tell Speaker Mike Johnson!!!
