I keep asking: why does no one uses Cursor..
Tuki@TukiFromKL
🚨 Cursor just dropped Composer 2.. their own AI model.. not Claude.. not GPT.. their own.. and it beats Claude Opus on coding benchmarks.. at a fraction of the cost.. a code editor with 50 people just outperformed a $30 billion AI lab.. at coding.. which is supposed to be their whole thing.. the vibe coding era just got an upgrade..

I agree with you on the real divide.
What I mean with game changer: not only will we be able to produce more, quality, code - faster, but also the pool of people able to develop will increase dramatically.
You still need lead engineers for quality control, performance etc., but a lot of non-coders will be able to ‘produce’ (orchestrate the creation of) code. I think this will also lead to more bizzdevops possibilities, with business minded colleagues now also being able to quickly spin up prototypes to refine/validate their ideas.

"Game changer" is thrown around too much in AI - we need specifics. Here's what actually matters:
- Most devs aren't anxious, they're integrating AI as force multipliers
- Junior tasks get automated first (boilerplate, simple CRUD)
- Senior work (architecture, edge cases, performance) stays human-led
The real divide isn't dev vs AI, it's devs who adapt vs those who don't. The latter should actually be anxious.

@pcshipp I feel you.
At the same time: congrats on the users, and the MRR!
Getting of 0 is a big achievent.
What have you tried in terms of marketing?

@Adidotdev Definitely agree
(I kinda have to, I’m hardly a coder 😅)

I finally admit defeat.
I downloaded app blockers for social media, YouTube, music, even my Kindle. Not to be more productive. Because I felt like an addict craving digital crack candy and I was becoming someone I didn’t recognize.
The only things I allow from 7am to 7pm: walk, meditate, exercise, write, call my mom.
Four days in and I already feel like I came back home to myself. If you think you’re strong enough to not need this, that’s exactly what I said too.
