@waynecheung29 If a vehicle is full what is the point in making it wait just to even out headways if nobody will be able to board

Lol, you think bunching only occurs when you're going to work or home. At 12:15pm, 4 x 509 Harbourfront streetcars are running back to back to back to back EB from temporary Fleet Hub at Fort York Blvd. 🙄

@dsherwoodb By each door on buses and streetcars around/beside the PRESTO reader there is a sign stating you are required to tap. Not tapping as per the signs would violate s. 3.13(a).

@ryanphanna That’s what I eventually got to once the TTC helps account posted the link… but in the conditions of use laid out in the bylaw they don’t say anything about tapping — just surrendering your fare media for inspection and having proof of payment. Unless I missed it?

What happens if you have a TTC monthly pass and you don’t tap? Can they ticket you for fare evasion, given you already prepaid unlimited fares? Or is it a different, ‘data-harvesting-evasion’ ticket?

@TheArcticDev @dsherwoodb The biggest reason is being able to analyze ridership patterns across large groups of people

@dsherwoodb Yes, they are data harvesting for a lot of reasons and I’m sure internally there is some nuance to less than public reasons but the big one is identification in an emergency. If they know 20 people are on a vehicle (subway, bus, etc) and it gets trapped or damaged they know you

@DudleyWolfeK2 Interesting you felt the need to delete your tweet acknowledging there is no actual factual proof of your claim

@DudleyWolfeK2 “People like you don’t listen to reason” me: is being extremely reasonable you: is throwing a tantrum on the internet, not able to provide any actual concrete evidence, and frankly I’m embarrassed for you

@ryanphanna Bike lanes half the troughput of a road. Doesn’t take a genius to extrapolate that into a congestion factor.

@DudleyWolfeK2 Looking at your tweet replies it seems they all contain insults It’s intriguing how people who have not even a basic rebuttal rooted in reality need to resort to insulting people and having a tantrum

@DudleyWolfeK2 If I made a diagram of people who can’t even formulate a basic factual opinion and need to resort to insults like a kindergartener it’d be an arrow pointed at you Feel free to grow up!

@ryanphanna Parked cars aren't blocking anything. Occupied vehicles are blocking the intersection as they're making a turn.

@JohnDeanToran Your individual experience is representative of that—it’s not representative as a whole You’re not engaging in good faith and are simply making things up that are not true or reflective of reality Good luck!

@ryanphanna You can cite all these bike biased surveys. I see it with my own lines. Removing two lanes of traffic has increased congestion. Bike riders hardly use the lane and when they do it creates dangerous conditions for less and riders. Huge waste of money.

@ryanphanna It was a millennial fad like IPAs. Look at Portlands ridership numbers and correlate that to bike lane miles. Ridership has steadily gone down.
