@AlexDaugherty1 If LAK wins out, then we just need the ducks to not also win out (removing the game we would conceivably win in regulation against them H2H) in order to control our own destiny. The magic number is 1 between both team in order for us to regain control of our own destiny

Of course, none of this matters if LAK wins out. NSH and others need help from VAN (x2), EDM, SEA, or CGY to take at least one point from LAK.

NSH rooting interests for ANA vs SJ tonight. *SJ wins* BAD: SJ is 1 pt behind NSH with game in hand. GOOD: ANA drops more points, pushing LAK closer to P3 race. NSH would hold control over SJ, ANA in WC2 race, but not over LAK.

@AngryPredsFan I can’t do math which is a separate problem. I read it as 18th which you definitely didn’t say. Still think we can catch Utah. The Pacific is an extremely doable path to winning a round or two

@sethdean No the 17th pick would be the playoff team with the lowest points, which they would be unless they went to the conference finals and won their way into pick 29-32

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that this team is absolutely making the playoffs, my real cope here is that nothing this year matters anymore because the actual important thing here is the GM hire in the offseason. Picking 17th or 12th doesn’t make any difference
