He was raised in a culture of debate, public protest, skepticism of authority and engagement thatโs rooted in French culture (and Enlightenment, and secularism, โcause letโs not forget heโs an atheist), and heโs not the type to bit his tongue.
He wasnโt media trained fresh out of acting school to be nice and feign ignorance and not make enemies the way actors might be in America. Heโs very much the Quebecois intellectual type looking up to France.
He might look like he wonโt be confrontational because heโs so nice and shy, but he absolutely will one up you if youโre being unfair, whether youโre an editor or that guy who attacked his coworkers about coming out or Erin on instagram.
