I was delighted to visit the group this morning at Old Inala Hall to discuss their important work in strengthening our community.

Bridge to Belonging Multicultural started just a few months ago with a mission to empower multicultural communities by creating pathways for connections - and already they grown in numbers!

Stopped by Jindalee State School this morning to talk to the grade 6 cohort about democracy and Parliament. They’ve almost finished their democracy subject so this was a great way to wrap it. Thank for all the great questions.

It was honour to be welcomed to the @ACTAssembly by Speaker Jeremy Hanson CSC MLA. This was the first time in the Assembly’s 36-year history that a Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives attended a sitting. 👏

I have been lucky enough to attend this amazing festival of Sri Lankan culture for the last 18 years, but this was the first year where we were joined by Nalin Perera who was just appointed as the Honorary Consul in Queensland.

Great to attend the 34th annual Prathibha held in our local community.

Thank you to the Nashos for all the work you do, it was also wonderful to see the Australian Flag that had flown in the House of Representatives that I presented to the National Servicemen’s Association flying proudly.

Today the @QldGovernor attended the National Servicemen’s Association in Wacol for the unveiling of a memorial to Servicemen who died on Australian soil whilst serving our country. Until now no such memorial recognised many of these servicemen.

It was great to host the Parliamentary Friends of School Chaplaincy this afternoon and thanks to co-chairs Senator Matt O’Sullivan and @stevegeorganas for their work in bringing the group together. @campuschaplains
