Welcome to Parliament House Lane Cove Public School 👋👋 It was a pleasure to see the students in Canberra while they were visiting Parliament House alongside their local member @jeromelaxale. The students came ready with their questions and were so excited to see the real mace.

I look forward to seeing his incredible artwork illuminated on the façade tomorrow evening at 6pm.

With the President of the Senate, it was an honour to personally meet with Uncle John Prince Siddon, a Walmajarri man whose artwork - Numbat Night (2024), has been chosen to be the National Reconciliation Week Illumination for @ParlHouseCBR

It was a honour welcoming H.E. Ms Samija Serifa, Ambassador to Latvia to Parliament House, where we discussed Australia and Latvia’s 35 years of diplomatic relations and how we can strengthen parliament-to-parliament ties. 🇦🇺🇱🇻

Vale Neale Daniher AO. I was so fortunate to meet with Neale last year to hear about the incredible work he and his daughter Bec have achieved together throughout his 13yr battle with MND. A true inspiration to all, his legacy will forever live on. May he rest in Eternal Peace.

Great to see our local schools performing, getting involved with stalls, and the community coming together for a fun family day. For over 20 years this event has been organised and just gets better each year! A big thank you to all the volunteers for putting this all together.

I had the opportunity to drop into the Oxley Otters with @JessPughMP and @CrNicJ and Springfield Waterworx with @charismullenmp for their awards presentations. Congrats to all the future Olympic Swimmers and their families’ across the Oxley Electorate

As the Swimming season comes to an end in the Oxley electorate, clubs are taking the opportunity to not only recognise their swimmers, but also the parents and volunteers.

An incredible two days in Victoria, bringing my National Civics Program out of Parliament and into schools. An incredible honour to share our great democracy with our next generation. Thank you to the hardworking local members for welcoming me into their beautiful communities 🙏

Volunteers are the backbone of our communities, and it is so important that we continue showing up for them, just as they show up for others.

It’s Volunteers Week and while I was in Victoria I was honoured to attend some Volunteer’s Week events with Jodie Belyea MP including a Roundtable with local Volunteer Organisations, and an event thanking local volunteers who do so much for the community.

We covered the history of federation, Parliament and how students can get involved in being active participants in their community.

I was so privileged to deliver a civics session to young people and their families, where we spoke about democracy, federation, government and of course our National Flag which is proudly celebrating its 125th anniversary this year 🇦🇺
