@IGN Here we go again. PA announced numerous fixes, updates, more content, and a FREE DLC. They’ve already released 2 updates in the last week but IGN is here trying to shit on it because of what now? You guys are so butthurt you got called out for lying about games you review.
Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has outlined a number of significant changes coming to the game in the coming months, each addressing various community complaints that were highlighted recently. Here's everything you need to know. bit.ly/4t4Odlc
@SynthPotato Half of these are there if you know how. I agree with 4. I want to have the look of one gear while actually wearing and getting effects of another.
My Crimson Desert updates wishlist:
1 - An option to change camera height to be much closer, similar to RDR2. And allowing us to customize combat/exploration cameras separately. This is my biggest request
2 - When placing plates/power sources in puzzles that involve the grapple, you shouldn’t need to force palm them into the slots, its incredibly janky and not satisfying. They should just slot in
3 - Revert new horse movement from latest update or give an option to do that as we can no longer time X presses to the stamina, allowing an infinite gallop like Red Dead if timed correctly
4 - Auto-hide helmet option in cutscenes
5 - More hairstyles and beards, Why no braided beards for a Viking protagonist?
6 - Ability to add a storage box the player home
7 - More gear for Damiane/Oongka, they are far too rare.
8 - Make double jumps and toggle flight separate buttons or actions, like hold for flight and press for double. Too inconsistent right now
9 - Add a “simplified” control option that instead of button combinations, puts everything under one button which opens a wheel of different actions (Think how TOTK has its different abilities all under L1)
10 - Simplify Chapters 1-2-3 by making their most fetch quest tasks to be side quests rather than main quests
I think thats everything I got right now, what would you guys like to see changed? At the rate Pearl Abyss is responding to feedback, its likely most of these are addressed in less than a month from now!

@CrimsonDesert_ I fear the game will be too hard for me. I am extremely excited about it but know there is no difficulty settings. Should I waste my time and try it out?

@GermanStrands@WillJPowers@DroppedFrames@CrimsonDesert_ No difficulty level, 200+ in-game items, cheat code in the gameplay, 50 key combinations to move a pillar, dead story, protagonist looks generic. Save your money. And don't be fooled by the pretty graphics.
Crimson Desert Director of Marketing on difficulty options:
"That answer has kinda changed over the years, so it's good to clear up any misconceptions about that.
At this point, there are no difficulty settings. There is a single difficulty curve for the game, and that actually plays into the set not scaling difficulty of enemies within the world.
Think about that: if you're stuck on an encounter, you're able to overprepare and scale up past that. So that's what that allows you to do in the world.
This game is not meant to be incredibly easy, it's not meant to be incredibly hard, it's meant to have a variety of content and give you a ton of options within the world."

@GermanStrands@WillJPowers@DroppedFrames@CrimsonDesert_ Ehh, at some point they will have to add something, at least enemy scaling. I bet after you unlock a couple skills, combos, etc. you will be insanely OP, which will make the game less fun overall.
Milly Alcock and Norman Reedus have been cast alongside Charli XCX in Takashi Miike’s new horror film.
The film follows 3 friends who meet up in Kyoto only to see their holiday turn into a nightmare when one friend becomes possessed by a tortured spirit.

Crimson Desert PR addresses the possibility of a demo:
"[Deep breath in] We'll see. I never want to shut down the possibility of anything. For promotional purposes, we are focused on getting the game in the hands of a ton of people before launch in order to ease concerns about the game as a whole. Candidly, this is a very hard game to demo in a limited amount of time.
It's not something that's fully decided upon.
But we hear you and its something that is consistently contemplated on our side."

@DieselDeuce03@RinoTheBouncer Why ? It will never finish and release. Instead they will waste years and millions then scrap it like everything else we wanted.
