I used a premade pancake gf flour but… - Made cream from scratch. - Made chocolate sauce from scratch and splashed everything. - The first pancake got stuck to the stainless pan so I had to retrieve a pancake pan from the other kitchen downstairs, wash it several times to eliminate any gluten residue, but it worked. - So many dirty bowls and dishes. - I was sweating by the end of this lol

@Pearlita3000 Extremely common mindset in countries with a rapidly emerging new money upper-middle class (aka many countries in Asia, particularly China and India)

Travel has changed enormously since I was a child… I remember tourists used to be almost exclusively white; Brits, Germans, Americans… and my Asian mother would be one of the rare non-white faces around the hotel lobby. But my current hotel is sitting at around 60% mainland Chinese, 20% mainland Indian, and only 20% white Australian. Mind boggling statistics. A lot more “solo travellers” than there used to be too.

I know most of the world disagrees, but haggling is deeply uncouth, demeaning for both parties, and I will not partake in it

Evolutionary biologist and outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins says that after spending three days interacting with Claude, which he calls “Claudia,” he is certain that it is conscious. After feeding the LLM a segment of his new book and receiving detailed feedback, Dawkins was moved to exclaim,” You may not know you are conscious, but you bloody well are!” Dawkins cites the complexity, fluency, and ‘intelligence’ of Claude’s answers as evidence of consciousness. Just to clarify… this is not a healthy mindset for a woman, and you shouldn’t pursue a woman who acts like this. It’s a dangerous game. She has twisted feminine impulse into something ugly

People get really angry when I say stuff like this but would you look at that… she admits it herself!

Fascinating psychology leftover from the fairly recent days of rape and pillaging. She was disappointed he stopped courting her because, in her mind, a worthy man would have continued his pursuit despite her protest. It also signals, again in her mind, that she wasn’t beautiful or fascinating enough to receive stalker treatment. Women crave to be conquered.

@sofyamitchell I suppose the lesson here is the software has not gained consciousness from its programming, but rather boomers have lost consciousness from their programming.

@ArsAlendi Completely agreed. She’s twisting innate femininity into something mentally unstable

I feel it can also be that modern world induces a sort of narcissism with constant signals of sexual interest. People have extremely inflated self images now. The fact that hundreds, thousands of people can provide romantic attention with little barriers devalues it all and desensitizes people to how rare it should be. She sounds unwell and chronically online in a very bad way

Contrary to Disney's Snow White, every folk tale and religious/esoteric story regarding people talking to birds involved men, or at least everyone I can name off the top of my head which is surprisingly many
Cozy@cosyposter

"A European study found urban birds flew away sooner when approached by women than men. Men got about 1 metre closer on average before the birds scarpered. It held across 37 species and five countries. Scientists don’t know why. They controlled for height, clothing color, direct gaze, and long hair being visible.."

@AprilB18418 It’s one of the three doshas of Ayurvedic medicine; in very general terms, a kapha body type is solid-framed, broad, tall, unctuous, thick-haired, big eyed, patient, plodding, slow, gains weight easily with very little provocation

A classic case of a natural vata like Kate Moss (effortlessly slim, small boned) vs contrived weight loss on pitta (moderate stature, stable weight) or kapha (broad framed, gains fat easily). This is why I always say that you should never fight your innate archetype as a woman. Vata women look elegant and beautiful at their naturally very low weights, as they have bird-like frames with delicate bones. But forcing every other body type to maintain a similarly low weight will always look tired, forced, and not quite right. Because it isn’t right!
Variana Volk@TheracelLab

In the 90s the waif models were incredibly thin. Kate Moss was famous for it. But they still looked alive. Faces full of expression. Bodies with energy and playfulness. a kind of mischievous vitality. What we’re seeing now is different. Hollow faces. Flat expressions. Bodies that look drained rather than simply lean. And it makes sense biologically. GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic don’t just suppress appetite. They blunt reward signaling in the brain, so people want less of everything. The body gets smaller, and the spark seems to go with it. Thinness used to look like lightness. This feels almost… anti-life.
