President Trump just dropped a MAJOR accusation, saying a leaker effectively AIDED AND ABETTED Iran by feeding the fake news details about the hunt for a missing American airman behind enemy lines Trump says that leak instantly blew the operation wide open, alerted the entire country of Iran that a U.S. pilot was on the ground fighting for his life, and put not only that airman — but HUNDREDS of Americans involved in the mission — in even greater danger And it got worse. According to Trump, once that information got out, Iran moved fast and even put a BOUNTY on an American troop PRISON. Trump made it clear he wants the leaker found, and he says the media outlet that ran the story will face a choice: hand over the source in the name of national security — or face JAIL TIME “The person that did the story WILL GO TO JAIL if he doesn’t say!” Trump said the U.S. stayed quiet at first to protect the operation, but then someone leaked that there was a missing American, giving Iran information it did not have before He says that one leak may have changed everything Now the administration is hunting for whoever did it — and Trump says they are prepared to go straight to the media company and demand the name LOCK THE LEAKER UP.

@JimmyRex I would add that Trump's behavior and rhetoric is a problem. He isn't the same guy as 2016. When you are tweeting that you are going to "end the civilization" and "open the F'ing straight" on Easter you have lost the plot. The R leadership blindly supports him. It's a problem.

@DebraCampb16615 @CharlieK_news This news was not originally reported by US journalists. The news was broken by Israeli journalists. The us media followed the reporting. You cant sue journalists for reporting on what is already out there. That’s called freedom of the press. Just find the leaker.

If the Media bought the information from a "Leaker" which is usually the case, they are responsible for it...when dealing with a human life or lives, you don't do that...it's that simple. @scottmelker I hate this but also I would be shocked if Trump does this. This feels like a perfect time to TACO and declare victory or they have negotiated a cease fire to extend the deadline. For the first time Trump is negotiating with a group that doesn’t give an F about his threats.

Assuming the goal posts don’t move again, the US has promised to obliterate Iran’s infrastructure in 48 hours. This hurts 90m citizens way more than it does the government. Iran has rejected every deal and promised to retaliate across the region. Who wins in this scenario?
