In 32 years, the $SOX (PHLX Semiconductor Index) has never done what it just did.
And the part nobody's posting about is wilder than the streak itself.
This Index launched December, 1993. In every decade since, the longest green streak maxed out at 15 days and gained 7–10%.

$SPY It’s definitely crazy. Even if I had gotten my long entry at 625 I still would have exited all longs in the 670s and flipped short, or at least not hold longs anymore than that.
It’s not the recovery it self that blew expectations out of the water, it’s how fast it has happened without any meaningful pull back. Incredible.
The longer it stays like this without a healthy pullback is dangerous. That’s what the permabulls don’t understand. Rug pulls after blow offs like this one are just as violent.
The best way to handle this right now, for me at least, is to either stay in cash or load up on long dated puts if you have some high risk appetite. I chose the latter.
