On Saturday, I was barred from addressing a No Kings rally in Nürnberg, Germany. The organizers had said there would be an open mike. I had identified myself as WSWS editor, and was told that I would be allowed to speak. But after waiting for nearly an hour, I was surrounded by Democratic Party goons. They would not allow me to speak and condemn the illegal war against Iran, which the Democrats support.

There are less than a handful of socialists in Congress.
We are nowhere close to being able to pass any socialist or anti imperialist legislation. They generally can’t even block anything.
What federal socialists in office do have is the bully pulpit to sway public opinion.

On Saturday I visited the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, where leaders of the Third Reich were tried after World War II for "crimes against peace." Trump and his henchmen who have launched a war of aggression against Iran are committing the same grave crime.

A strong Soviet Union kept the idea of communism alive, even if not realized in practice.
Leftism has been in shambles since the fall, and workers have lost leverage in the West as a result.

Pound for pound, never trump conservatives have been better allies in the fight against fascism than dem-hating leftists. Most of them have voted democratic in the last three elections with barely any coercion while leftists brag and gloat about not voting for democrats.

No Kings proves the size of a protest is meaningless if there are no policy demands and direct threats to power. This was a parade to funnel people from the red capitalist party to the blue capitalist party to ensure the source of our problems, capitalism, remains unthreatened.
