@dbseymour The way he speaks to women in the House barely reflect his real attitude towards them. He is a sleazy misogynist

@ClintVSmith The govt isnt your fairy godmother who can magically make high fuel prices dissapear. You either pay for it at the pump or in taxes to cover handouts, there is no scenario where you dont pay in a situation as big as this

@GodForBreakfast How are the people on public transport affected by petrol price increases lol
English

@stumpy2121 The goal in this case is not to boost public transport numbers, it is to offer a small amount of financial relief to people affected by fuel price increases.

@ValerieAnne1970 complete nonsense
he stole medical data and sold it.
the data does not show any issue with the vaccine.
English

New Zealand authorities arrested this man for exposing the government’s COVID vaccine data.
What he uncovered inside the vaccine batches was horrifying.
When Barry Young, former Ministry of Health employee, examined the data, he was alarmed to find a 21% death rate tied to Batch ID 1.
Batch ID 1: Total Vaccinated 711, Death Count 152, 21.38% Dead.
Batch ID 2 showed similar results, with a 17% death rate — Total Vaccinated 221, Death Count 38, 17.19% Dead.
Batch ID 3 followed close behind, with a 15% death rate — Total Vaccinated 310, Death Count 48, 15.48% Dead.
According to Young, New Zealand’s underlying mortality rate should be just 0.75%, meaning the odds of these outcomes occurring by chance are roughly 100 billion to 1.
And these weren’t isolated cases. Numerous other batches showed death rates of 4.5% and higher.
“So statistically, what we’re saying is that there is no chance that this vaccine is not a killer,” Young concluded.
And instead of triggering an urgent investigation, this data triggered something else entirely.

@stampmemesnz @NewZealandMFA of what relevance are they in a tweet pointing out that nz's govt isnt at fault in this mess

@stumpy2121 @NewZealandMFA Those are NZ hashtags champ. Obviously there isn't a US election in 2026. Not sure when Benny Satanyahu is up for election. Dry your eyes and move along Stump.

Here’s the plan from @NZNationalParty They’ve told petrol companies to put the price of petrol up as much as possible for 2 reasons:
1. It’ll manage demand
2. National MPs & their mates have shares in the petrol companies

@TheCoot5 one minute the lunches are inedible, the next you guys are fighting over the scraps
English

@tukakimatt putting aside the obvious food safety issue, this is clearly unethical from the schools
if they have excess lunches it should be thrown away
English

There is something seriously wrong when schools are being made to feel like criminals for giving away surplus lunches to people who actually need them.
Let’s be clear about what we’re talking about here.
Leftover food.
Food that would otherwise be thrown out.
Food that could help a whānau get through the day.
And somehow, that’s being framed as if it’s the same as shoplifting?
That’s not just misguided — it’s completely out of touch.
We are living through a cost-of-living crisis where petrol is through the roof, food prices are climbing, and more families are doing it tough. Every day, I see it. People are stretching meals, skipping meals, and making impossible choices just to get by.
So if a school has extra lunches at the end of the day, why on earth would we not want that food going to those who need it?
Most New Zealanders would say exactly the same thing — better in the hands of a whānau than sitting in a bin or being fed into pig buckets.
Instead, we’ve got a system that is more worried about rules than about people.
This is what happens when decision-makers lose touch with the reality on the ground.
Common sense should prevail here.
Feed people. Support whānau. Stop criminalising compassion.
Because right now, it’s not the schools that look bad — it’s the system.
