The best thing lenders can do now is withdraw all fixed rates & only offer a tracker rate without penalty
People are making mistakes with their lending decisions right now because there is ZERO evidence anyone knows what they’re doing

Halifax rates increasing again on the 1st April bringing more pain to customers. 1st April is the earliest date to secure a new rate for a lot of maturities at the 4 month window. Hopefully you have listened to me and booked a rate with a new lender 6 months in advance 🙏

@Moysie01 @ashridgepf @rhdixon1 They will all come down soon. These increases are a classic case of musical chairs induced by panicking brokers… the BoE is more likely to reduce. Doesn’t help when clueless individuals go on national tv to stoke up more panic

Client call this morning - put his smart 3 bed semi in leafy Surrey on the market 2 weeks for sensible price and accepted offer this morning. There is a market if buyers and are sellers are both realistic and Agents stop promising silly money to get the instruction.

@M0lly_Writes I think he right to be concerned. Cars unexpectedly slowing on the fastest parts of any circuit is tantamount to being 'brake tested'. Lights are slightly too late to give enough warning.
