Just back from the framers with this absolute beauty - an Elvis Costello poster designed by Barney Bubbles for the Stiffs Greatest Stiffs tour of 1977. The legendary designer produced giant-sized posters of each of the 5 acts performing. So pleased to have this on the wall.

👏🏽👏🏽 Scrap stamp duty for -first time buyers -married couples -couples/single parents with more than two children -those over 55 who want to free up larger houses and downsize, or willing to sell to assist their children on the ladder Raise stamp duty for people/companies with 8 or more properties
Moving Home with Charlie@moving_charlie

Imagine how many more home moves don't happen because of this. Selling the £1m home will already cost around £25,000 in selling fees, removal costs and solicitors, but at least that's going into the economy and helping to employ people. Many down-sizers would stomach the £25k, but not £40k

@JibbaJabb so many gaps in this article. 5 x £10k per annum minimum for private school fees - NET! Are those properties yielding enough from day 1?

@MortgageMikeN2 @LondonMoneyFS If I'm thinking about the right company, I'm not surprised. They sold me a crypto meme token called solana:9BB6NFEcjBCtnNLFko2FqVQBq8HHM13kCyYcdQbgpump last year. You sell what you can when your employees base salary is £200k per annum, I guess!

@LondonMoneyFS @drsparwaga Doc, don’t you have a friend whose a mortgage broker and heavily involved in pushing these type of loans? Not sure of his name but he keeps popping up on here. I have a picture of him if it helps identify him?

@GrahamCompton Yep , when you start manipulating the system to prevent more pain it does suggest the system itself is broken

@LondonMoneyFS We would definitely be spending more if the higher rate threshold was raised. We plan our finances to the £1 to stay below it. The reduction of interest allowance etc. just exacerbate this.
