@sell_puts @elonmusk Tribal mindset only possible via an overpowering ego. Most people are currently burdened and conquered by their egos thus this ease of losing presence of mind

@elonmusk Terrifying if you really think about this as a perpetual, and immanent non-zero probability. The question is really- why is it so easy to not think about this?

Time Dilation kind of makes the whole “datacenters in space” idea more fun. Technically…something like a GPS Block III CPU runs an extra ~7,000 clock cycles per day compared to the same machine on earth. Extend this to the extreme, and you get the whole subfield of CS+physics called relativistic hypercompuation. There’s some (fun?) papers that allow you to solve the halting problem by placing yourself dangerously close to a black hole…while your computer safely computes for ~infinite-ish amounts of time. One of the better papers on this field appears to be: "Relativistic computers and the Turing barrier" (Németi & Dávid 2006) (sadly, the maximum speedup just escaping earths gravity well is something like 1 x 10 ^ (-10), so yeah the blackhole thing is kinda necessary)

Someone needs to keep saying it: We need to stop pretending that scientists are weak, ineffectual, of no interest to anyone & made redundant by AI. Poorly paid precarious scientists are of great interest to many. Us. Our allies. And the other guys too. Let’s figure this out:
Polymarket@Polymarket

JUST IN: White House says it will look into reports that 10 U.S. scientists involved in top-secret nuclear research have recently gone missing.

And before everyone yells about maternity leave that’s only like 1 year of the equation even if that was implemented in the US. The median livable wage is quickly approaching 60K or more in most parts of the country. They say it takes a village to raise a family but guess what my god damn village has gentrified. I’m not even talking about the old people. I’m talking about the fact that it’s much more profitable for a person to content create than to babysit.

As important as this is - where’s the community of men and women on 𝕏 figuring out how to have a family and make progress in their careers well before this linear fertility cliff happens? Biology has such hard limits. Shouldn’t the economy work around that?
Claire Lehmann@clairlemon

"Women's fertility does not drop off rapidly after age 35. That's a myth caused by faulty data. The decline is earlier & more linear." It is really a scandal we don't tell women this. x.com/RuxandraTeslo/…

@LightYagami2435 Very cool - I thought you could get away with using the normal SO(3) rotation matrices since I always thought the quaternions have a little more "extra power": there's a 2-1 map one rotation R in SO(3) -> +/- U in SU(2). I wonder if that extra redundancy is useful at all

Learned today that robotics uses SU(2)! Is this actually true can any robotics person confirm? I thought SU(2) was useful only in quantum mechanics

I was running socialfabric.nyc, my site that lists portals to finding community in NYC, as a Notion page via Super for $16/month. In 30 minutes, I used Claude Code to pull the HTML and CSS and deploy it as a static Vercel page that now costs me $0/month.

it's possible to be a 1 day old startup and still have ARR let me explain 1 day = 24 hours if you simply spin up 365 OpenClaw instances and run them continuously that first day, you have a full year's worth of operations and experience that's how my side project's management team has over 1,000 years of combined experience who says startups have to be difficult?

I always laugh when people claim LLMs will "level the playing field". Search engines have been around for 25+ years. ...have you seen how many people still don't have basic search skills? The field will not be level. A small group will excel at prompting, but most won't.
Jack | amatica health@JackHadfield14

LLMs alone diagnose medical conditions with 95% accuracy. Real people using the same LLMs: 34%. No better than Google. People describe symptoms badly, the model reasons over partial context, and the back-and-forth destroys it. Accurate AI health usage requires structured input.

The social fabric is clearly only disrupted for the more Americanized Malaysians. The main vector of influence is social media with Hollywood/Netflix as a close runner up. Will analyze this a lot more

‼️Do not npm install or deploy anything right now Supply chain attack on axios 1.14.1 - even if you don’t use axios it may be a nested dep. Pin versions or wait until this is resolved
Maxwell@mvxvvll

@npmjs @GHSecurityLab there is an active supply chain attack on axios@1.14.1 which pulls in a malicious package published today - plain-crypto-js@4.2.1 - someone took over a maintainer account for Axios
