I ran an experiment (n=269): what happens to human connection when people find out AI wrote a message they got?
Everyone got the same nice message from their coworker. I randomized revealing how much AI wrote it (0%, 50%, 100%) & effort taken (20s vs. 20m).

A while back, Adyashanti taking SSRIs went viral, posed as this gigantic disappointment and source of disillusionment for practitioners. but imo blindly meditating and expecting it to solve all your problems is silly at best, rigid/uncreative at worst.
There's so much more than stillness or states that can heal you and open you up. There's stuff that takes you into your body, stuff that makes you move & vocalize. I think it just goes to show that modern practitioners need to be steeped in tradition but flexible and creative enough to meet modern ailments right where they are.

Always wondered why I never felt anything from caffeine. So I asked Claude to analyze my DNA:

I recommend recording all your medical appointments, ideally using something like Otter, which uses AI to transcribe notes
I don't end up referencing these recordings that much, but they are very useful when I need to check *exactly* what a provider said. use cases:
1. when they're explaining something complicated, I don't need to take great notes; I can just listen in the moment and listen again later
2. sometimes they make mistakes in their notes or in communications with the front desk
3. on the rare occasion when someone treats me poorly, it's useful to have it objectively documented
