Happy New Year, Node.js builders! 🎉 On this January 1, 2026, I'm releasing Vajra — my gift to the indie community and a reminder that performance doesn't have to be sacrificed for usability. Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come not to bury Express, but to say we don't bury performance at the altar of usability. ⚡

Thankyou for your clean confession about what bigotry your religions teach. Once again, I am saying. A god who sent prophets only to the twelve tribes of Israel in the Levant, and one Quraysh tribe in Arabia, ignoring the rest of humanity for 3000 years since creation , yet punishing all of them with eternal hellfire, for not worshipping him exclusively , cannot be the God for everyone, who created the entire universe. A god who never incarnates on earth or would incarnate only one time at one place among one people, cannot demand worship from all of humanity. A god who commands and would accept prayers only in one language from all people, can’t be the god for everyone. A god who forgives all sorts of sins of people who worship him yet who sends away all others, who worship no god or other gods, into hellfire, even if they are otherwise pious, is not a god but a cult leader. A god who revealed his revelations only to a small minority of the world population and relies on the conquest of empires to spread his worship to all humans is a lazy god, who instead of revealing to every nation in their own language and culture and tastes, has outsourced his divine potency unto dirty humans and their brutal empires. If you still believe in this, it is okay. You can teach it and preach it inside your own churches and mosques. In public atleast, have the decency to not disparage the majority faith that are otherwise hospitable to you. I don’t like lot of people genuinely but I don’t disparage them or insult them in public and restrict it to my private circle. When it comes to caste or gender or race or language or ethnicity, disparaging and demonising that of another person in public is illegal. Then, why should the literal demonisation of the gods of other people in public not attract the same penalty? Like every other bigotry and supremacy an demonisation (w.r.t gender, caste, race, ….), confine your religious supremacy and demonisation of other religions in the private realm and your own places of worship and behave decently in public. It is not curbing freedom of religion but demanding basic public decency. How come demonising the gender, caste, or ethnicity of other people is considered distasteful in public, but how can the demonising the gods of other people suddenly become kosher or halāl just because it is a core tenet of your religion ? Btw this is the same law that holds in Singapore. Public preaching is not allowed; just invite people to your places of worship without denigrating other religions; once they accept the invitation and come to your places of worship, you can be as bigoted and demonising about any religion as you want there.

The real problem with this court order is not just one priest’s words. It is much bigger. Many religions, like Judaism, Christianity and Islam teach that theirs is the only true religion. This is not a rare opinion. It is the very heart of their faith. The Bible says Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life” and no one reaches God except through Him. That belief is what makes the religion what it is. But the Allahabad High Court has now said: “It is wrong for any religion to claim that it is the only true religion.” The court called such a claim “disparaging” to other faiths and refused to protect the priest. Think about what this really means: The court is telling believers: “You can follow your religion… but only if you stop saying out loud what your own scriptures teach.” It is asking them to change the fundamentals of their faith just to live peacefully in India. In simple words: “We will accept your religion only if you first accept that your religion is wrong (or at least keep quiet about it).” This is not fair. The Constitution gives every Indian the right to practise and preach their religion freely. The court’s job is to protect that right and keep peace, not to decide what is “correct” belief and what is “wrong” belief. By saying “claiming only one true religion is wrong,” the court is quietly pushing a Hindu-style idea that all religions are equally true (what people call “all paths are the same”). That idea may be beautiful for some, but it is not part of Christianity or Islam. Forcing it on them is like the court rewriting their religion from the judge’s chair and enforcing polytheism on the people who follow monotheism. Courts should stop crimes that actually hurt people or create riots. They should not tell any religion, “Change your basic teachings or stay silent.” That is not protecting harmony, that is changing the faith itself. In short: You cannot protect someone’s right to follow a religion by first forcing the religion to stop being what it is. That is not justice. That is the state deciding what people are allowed to believe in public.

All Abrahamic faiths claim that only their religion is true and all others false. Court observation that it amounts to disparagement of other faiths, should be enough reason to reconsider the presence of Articles 25 to 28 in the Constitution that protect these bigoted claims.
Bar and Bench@barandbench

It is wrong for any religion to claim that it is the only true religion as it implies a disparagement of other faiths: Allahabad High Court says while denying relief to a Christian priest.

Some good news from India -- the judge and defendant being of the same caste, religion, or gender has no impact in most situations on case outcomes. However, there is reason to be somewhat skeptical of the results on caste. 1/

While many hail Aditya Dhar as a new breed of film makers who openly bashed Pakistan and trashed aman ka tamasha, let us never forget the venerable Gaptun aka Vijaykanth, his entire career was made on movies bashing "Bakistani teevaravadis", he never made any bones about being an ultra patriotic Indian who always smashed through 100's of Bakistani goons. Hail Gaptun!

According to avimukteshwarananda's own school, 1. Is there a separate jiva, antarAtma etc? 2. Is the entire retinue of allegations satya or mithyA? 3. Are you existent, or not?

In the Dadu area of Sindh province, Pakistan, there is a railway station called “Rehmani Nagar”. A few days ago, during a strong storm, the upper steel layer of the station board was blown off, and the old name “Sita Road” written underneath became visible. Truth may remain hidden for a moment, but its nature is such that it eventually emerges with even greater strength and prominence.

Sahih Bukhari is the strongest text besides the Koran in terms of pecking order and validity. Appears the Paki[sic]stanis have begun rejection of the Sunnah and that's rather interesting a swerve.

We’ve raised our Series B round led by @peakxvpartners 🎉 — after our first full year of profitability. But that is not what this post is about. Six years ago, when we started @getplumhq, we realized that our north star goal was not about the policy, the coverage, or the premium. It was the claims experience. The time of the claim is the most important moment for our users, and nobody we spoke to at the time had a good story to share. And so, we started building. Today, half a million claims later, we are proud to share that we’ve built the best claims experience in the world. We don’t make this claim lightly. Cashless claims get done in minutes, not hours. Reimbursements get closed in days, not weeks. 88% of claims initially denied by the insurer are recovered in full after we step in. And all of this reflects in our Claims NPS of 79 — the highest in the industry, worldwide. We’ve raised this capital to capitalize on this momentum. The capital empowers us to deliver the new standard of the claims experience to millions of Indians, at audacious speed and scale. To our 6,000+ customers, thank you for trusting us with your team’s health. To our investors (@gvravishankar, @RajanAnandan, @sjs_day1, @dvbydt, @gmovp, Ravi and Sankalp from Tanglin Ventures, and @nao_IFI), thank you for being a part of our mission. And to the 500 Plum-bers who are building this with us — you are our biggest moat. If this is something you’d like to build with us, we’re hiring.
