@teethcuttingg good lord…………i already have issues with dogs being used for protection in general bc like what situation do you NEED a dog to protect yourself that cannot be accomplished through other means………but that also reinforces negative stereotypes about these lovely dogs….sigh

i shudder every time someone brings in a malinois for a new puppy exam…….the average human is not equipped to deal with these dogs!! they are so wonderful but also require constant stimulation and firm training in order to be wonderful. they are a full time job!!

back in my hometown and i found this whole box set for $20

TVシリーズ[スティッチ！]は… 映画[リロ・アンド・スティッチ]の続編TVシリーズ第二弾。 ディズニー・ジャパンが日本での地上波放送→世界公開を前提に企画…制作の全てを完結した日本製シリーズであり… ディズニー映画続編の日本制作…そしてそれがダイレクトに地上波放送されたのは歴史上初の非常に大きな出来事でした。 これには当時本国ディズニーが…各国の文化を反映した作品を各国の人々の手で制作する… 所謂[作品のローカライズ化]に力を注いでいた事も大きく起因しています。 ハワイ編最終作から十数年後の日本・沖縄を舞台に…スティッチと新たなオハナの活躍を描いた作品。 人気キャラの続編と新たな試みで注目を浴びた今作でしたが… その道程は順風満帆と程遠く…国内外から大きな批判も浴びる事となりました。 その中心は[オリジナル(ハワイ編)への誠意が感じられない]というものでしたが… 個人的にはこの作品…とても好きなんですよね。 まず…キッズアニメとしてのクオリティが凄く高いです。通常日本アニメの三倍の絵数を使ってるだけの事はあります。 そしてその中で沖縄伝統や文化・風習を盛り込んだその作風は… 日本が語る日本文化を具現化したDisney作品として非常に興味深い内容でした。 火間虫入道や座敷童子等の日本妖怪とスティッチの絡みや…ルーベンがおにぎりにハマる等日本ならではの面白い試みも沢山あり、、 既存スティッチ要素と独自要素のバランスもとても絶妙だったと思います。 (シーズン3からは大幅路線変更によりその趣向も大きく変化してしまいますが…) オリジナルで出番の少なかったエンジェルや他試作品達の肉付けやガントゥ・ハムスターヴィール等のキャラとしての深堀りも何気に上手くて。 矛盾やツッコミ所は多々あれど、、 キャラの持つ魅力をより引き出す事に成功してましたし…新たな活躍や見せ場はファンとして素直に嬉しかったです。 脚本家さんによっては[そこを拾うか！]って細かな原作要素も丁寧に取り入れてたり… 時間経過によるキャラの変化を巧みに魅せていたり… 様々な制約がある中でもオリジナル作品へのリスペクトというのも個人的には強く感じましたね。 色々な面でうまく行かない事も非常に多かったのも確かです。それでも… ・スティッチを通して日本や沖縄の文化を世界に発信できるディズニー作品が生まれた事 ・リロとの物語のその先の世界を生きるキャラ達を見せてくれた事… ・日本の子供達にスティッチという作品と出会う最高の機会を作ってくれた事 は…本当に意義のある大きな功績だったと思います。 そしやはり賛否あれど[リロとスティッチの物語]に逃げずに向き合ってくれた事にも感謝したいです。 逆風も非常に多い状況の中… 少しでも良いものにしようと試行錯誤しながら情熱と愛情を持って三年に渡り作品を完走させた制作者の皆様に、、 心から拍手を送りたいです。 ディズニー・日本アニメ双方にとって大きな1ページとなった作品である事は間違いありませんからね。 スルーしたり毛嫌いしている方も多いのは承知の上ですが… もし機会があれば一度通して最後まで観てみて頂きたいなと思います。 きっと…作品の印象が少し変わってくると思いますので。勿論お子様には無条件手放しでオススメでございます！ 相変わらずの長文駄文…失礼致しました。
