@parlance2025 @DDVeasley @ImMeme0 I am paralyzed, been in a wheelchair for 17 years. People like this are why people like me have gradually seen the benefits for actually disabled people decrease and become harder to get . Your compassion is misplaced, people like her do real harm

Psychology student with a part-time job, who said just days ago that she stopped standing for the Pledge of Allegiance in high school because our country is racist, is now asking that same country for disability money. The catch is, she can’t even identify her disability. Then there’s another video of her, just days earlier, trying on a Renaissance outfit. Take a wild guess and try to figure out what her disability is.

Tesla Semi's total cost of ownership destroys diesel economics • Electricity costs 60-70% less than diesel per mile • Near-zero maintenance (no diesel aftertreatment, fewer moving parts) • Remote diagnostics = maximized uptime • OTA updates = continuous improvements • Operators will spend less time at service centers and more time on the road The numbers: • Electricity: $0.15-0.25/mile • Diesel: $0.50-0.70/mile Fleet operators achieve positive ROI before their standard diesel replacement cycle

@TheKevinDalton If those Toyotas didn’t wear such short exaust pipes then they wouldn’t get assaulted. It’s not the man’s fault, the car was obviously wanted it.

As a Los Angeles city council member Nithya Raman has been more interested in suing Toyota for making their catalytic converters “super easy to remove” instead of going after actual catalytic converter thieves. She will make a great mayor…
Kevin Dalton@TheKevinDalton

Los Angeles councilmember Nithya Raman takes a moment away from defending homeless encampments near schools and trying to sue Toyota for making catalytic converters so easy to steal, to challenge Karen Bass as dumbest choice for mayor.

Today I learned that apparently credit cards are no longer plastic but aluminum so microwaving old ones causes them to catch on fire.

@snakeriverfarms⁩ waygu tritip, been in the sous vide for 12 hours at 125. Going to smoke it for six hours. It’s an experiment, I don’t know if the sous vide will do anything to a tri tip, but can’t wait to find out.

The likely NYC mayor wants a $30 minimum wage. Activists cheer. Don't they know what happened when California raised the fast-food wage minimum to $20? 18,000 jobs vanished, while other states ADDED fast-food jobs. Here's Part 2 of Zohran Mamdani's Bad Ideas:

@reddit_lies @jorilextera This is incorrect. Bots need to tell the difference between voicemail answers and a live person. So they wait for Hello…. Pause… Hello. Which is why that is what I have recorded as my voicemail message.

@jorilextera GenZ largely thinks "If you say something, the bot on the other line recognizes it's an active number and adds you to the spam list." It was really bad a year or so ago when it was happening multiple times a day, that's when I got in the habit of holding my tongue.

i’m a recruiter so i do a TON of phone interviews and something i’ve noticed about gen z specifically is that a lot of them answer the phone and don’t say anything. like i can hear their breathing and the background noise, but they wait for you to say hello first.
