Something not talked about enough is how much Zegras embraced the team and the city. He could’ve so easily had a bad attitude about the team that drafted him and spent years marketing tf out of him casting him off, but he didn’t. He takes everything in stride, and his love for his teammates, especially the young guys, shines the most. He’s not selfish in the slightest. He celebrates everyone’s big moments just as big as his own. Today really showcased that. I don’t care what the extension looks like. It’s not my money or salary cap to worry about. I just know I want him here for however long he wants to stay. Those are guys I want on this team.
