By this same developer (ERS Studio) I also highly recommend Dark Alleys: Penumbra Motel, Gotchic Fiction: Dark Saga, and the Haunted Halls series (especially the last 2)
They hit a gold streak around 2011-2013 with some real gems. Don’t recommend the games before or after though

Been back on another HOPA game streak, and I’ve finally struck gold with Redemption Cemetery: Grave Testimony
Early 90’s FMV cutscenes, hand-painted environments, open-ended exploration, and great puzzles.
Point-n-click fans- don’t sleep on it!

Resident Evil 9 is a really good game, but an absolute garbage of a Resident Evil. I don't get the high praise for this game, I don't get how any old RE fans are satisfied by this game. I was SO excited, SO deceived after playing it. It's just not resident evil, only the care center feels good and is really enjoyable. The rest of the game is linear as fuck, almost no bosses, no backtracking at all. Grace has only a damn pistol for the whole thing.. This is a RE3 remake garbage level, even worse in reality.

Yeee, it's serviceable to Resident Evil Requiem's design, but I think especially in the wake of the Silent Hill revival entries, the puzzles in modern RE games come off as almost nothing, kinda sandpapered down to momentary distractions.

In my opinion RE9 drinks a lot from the evil within, also on the care center and it's underground section
Which is neat for me cuz The Evil Within 1 is one of my all time favourite games ever... The problem is that some of these moments were less impactful on RE9 for me

I would be lying if I didn’t say I was worried about the future of the series, despite feeling that the grace section was an 11/10
