I have a name for this, and it’s “hypocrisy hypocrisy”. We all know perfectly well Rebekuh here does not want ID requirements to be uniform between voting and guns. She wants ID for guns, but NOT for voting. Earth to moron: YOU ARE JUST AS BIG A HYPOCRITE AS THOSE YOU ACCUSE.

@BlackDumpling All red, nobody dead. The only people who die in ANY outcome are blue. Blue creates the problem, just to give you a CHANCE to fix it. Red means there’s no problem to begin with.

Everyone on earth is forced to vote. The genie who made the vote was generous enough to grant temporary understanding of the vote to everyone involved. Press red, you live. Press blue, and if >50% press it everyone lives, else instant blue death. What are you pressing?

Yes… it is. If I vote red, the other guy doesn’t matter. The tally will either be 98 or 99 blue. Either way all blues die. Yes obviously knowing others’ votes can change the choice. The point is in the original question, when nobody has chosen yet, there’s no logical reason for anyone to vote blue. There is no one to “save”.

@ThinkyCrow There is not a 100% certainty that blue loses if you don't vote for it. I said IF you and the other guy. You have to rely on the other guy too, that's the risk. You would press blue if it has a 0% chance of failing? But not a 55ish% chance of winning like most polls show?

@DafityDaf This itself is false equivalency, because it makes blue default. Blue is an action, and it is the ONLY action that puts your life in danger. The only reason anyone is in danger in this scenario is because they pushed blue.

This is platform manipulation and engagement farming. But those rules only apply to the peasants and not the elite.

So my twist on the button problem. Same rules, if more than 50% of people press blue, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press blue, only people who pressed red survive. BUT: beknownst only to you, YOU are the first person in the whole world to push your button.

@ThinkyCrow Let's say there's 200 people in the button scenario, 100 people have chosen red and 98 chose blue. You are the penultimate vote and you don't know it or what others voted for. Blue is in danger but they're in danger because you MIGHT pick red.

Who knows? Perhaps they're stupid? Perhaps they are too young to understand the ramifications of their choice. Perhaps they are trying to maximize the chances of their loved ones surviving even at the risk of their own life. It doesn't matter why. It only matters that there are people at risk, right now, and you have the power to help save them.

Blue always works. Red only works if over half the people vote blue. (The purpose of red is to kill people who vote blue)
