@metageologist Our local gravel (Buckingham area) is fluvioglacial, composed mainly of flint with some Triassic pebbles. But also contains fairly common Gryphaea, Belemnite pieces, occasional rhynchonellids, portions of ammonite, all from the Jur limestones eroded into ice age rivers.

A UK specific stone question: is there a standard commercial source of gravel that contains fossils. Something used by the trade that just happens to contain fossils. I've seen examples in the past - any ideas?
