As a Gen Xer, I can tell you boomers and even my own generation comparing their 20s to todayโs 20-30 year-olds needs to stop. I paid $600 for a West Hollywood apartment at 23. Today itโs $3500. Burgers werenโt $20, they were $6 to $8 in a nice restaurant. Life is not comparable. Itโs a completely different world now.

One thing wildlife photographers should talk about is how hard it really is to get a bird/animal in motion.
This is NOT a good shot. Itโs barely mediocre BUT it took a lot of luck and work to get a sharp shot of a magpie in flight.
So when you do see an amazing photo, say so.

I really *liked* Hyperion, I didn't love it like some... partially because of the characters, esp Silenus who I found annoying.

I'm an Architect & agree with this surveyor. Surveyors don't allow for curvature because there isn't any. The earth is a level plane & all of construction & CAD software is based on Euclidean geometry ๐
